Ha Ho He

2016-17 Squad Review

Starting XI

GK: Thomas Kraft, 80 Ovr, 28 Years Old, 8/10
24 clean sheets in 41 appearances

The last line of defence continues to perform worse and worse every season even though he's going up in stats. He managed to keep a clean sheet in over half of the games he played but those were mainly thanks to our strong defence. In some games like the Champions League final Kraft was amazing and in others he was really poor. He even had to be taken off once. Will not get replaced unless a big offer comes in.

RB: Mattia de Sciglio, 84 Ovr, 24 Years Old, 9/10
3 goals and 3 assists in 46 appearances

A player who we brought in for this season for free and he did everything I wanted from him. He was really solid defensively and he attacked well, being part of six goals in our non-crossing playing style. A fast and good player who is great at basically everything. Won't get replaced any time soon.

CB: Fabian Schär, 82 Ovr, 25 Years Old, 8.5/10
1 goal and 1 assist in 43 appearances

This man continues to be our most important central defender with his always solid performances. He's got everything a top class defender needs: speed, strength, aerial abilities and good tackling. Scored one goal this season and it was from a corner. Schär is consistent and a good defender. Won't lose his spot.

CB: Matthias Ginter, 80 Ovr, 23 Years Old, 8/10
38 appearances

Ginter keeps performing alright without shining. The weaker of our two centre backs who is often too slow to catch up with attackers. A good tackler and good in the air but that's basically it. Will lose his spot to our summer arrival Hummels.

LB: Jose Gaya, 81 Ovr, 22 Years Old, 8/10
2 goals and 1 assist in 41 appearances

Our left back is another player who had a dip in form this season. He is still really fast and he is good in attack but he wasn't good in defence. Gaya was often caught way out of position and our winger had to cover him. Many attacks came through his side and he needs to position himself better. Will probably keep his spot.

CDM: Victor Wanyama, 78 Ovr, 26 Years Old, 7.5/10
3 goals and 7 assists in 32 appearances

Wanyama is my third or fourth defensive midfielder since I started my Hertha career in FIFA 14 who suffers from what I like to call 'the Rode syndrome'. It basically means that the defensive midfielder starts the season off really well and does everything amazingly but in the last couple months of the season the player becomes something completely else. He forgets how to defend and he is playing next to the striker with the 'stays back while attacking' instruction and he doesn't defend well and is way too often out of position which leads to problems. That is what I like to call the Rode syndrome and only Nemanja Matic hasn't suffered from it. Another player will be bought to replace Wanyama.

CDM: Toni Kroos, 85 Ovr, 27 Years Old, 9/10
1 goal and 3 assists in 23 appearances

If you look at the stats Kroos didn't do that well but as we all know stats aren't everything. Our more attacking holding midfielder was important for the team with his really good passing. He created a lot of chances and passed the ball well and he was good defensively. A really well rounded player who will keep his spot.

RM: Alexis Sanchez, 85 Ovr, 28 Years Old, 8/10
8 goals and 3 assists in 23 appearances

This man was a player who I really wanted to perform well and sadly that's not really what happened. He scored only two goals for me and gave three assists in about 17 appearances for us (the other ones were for Real Madrid in the Champions League). It looked like he was just adjusting to the new league because in the last couple games of the season he was really good. Will keep his spot.

CAM: Mario Götze, 89 Ovr, 25 Years Old, 8.5/10
11 goals and 14 assists in 41 appearances

Götze arrived in January as a replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu who left for Bayern and he did pretty well in that role but he wasn't as good as Calhanoglu was. Götze still had an impact on our game and he created many goals, including the Champions League winning goal. Will not get replaced unless we get a really big offer.

LM: Valentin Stocker, 82 Ovr, 28 Years Old, 7.5/10
4 goals and 7 assists in 34 appearances

The worst player of our starting eleven is the ex-captain Valentin Stocker. He has had a lot of problems in our attack and he hasn't been good for us. Lacks pace and can't get past many defenders. He would maybe be better in a central role but I won't bench anyone for him. Will lose his spot to Reus when he comes in the summer.

ST: Luis Suarez, 90 Ovr, 30 Years Old, 8.5/10
27 goals and 7 assists in 43 appearances

Suarez arrived in the winter like a few players and he was good but not amazing for us. Was great in the Champions League and good in the league but he wasn't clinical enough. He missed about three chances when there was no-one between him and the goal. Went up in stats which is always good. May stay, may leave.

Notable Substitutes

CM: Per Skjelbred, 78 Ovr, 30 Years Old, 7.5/10
2 goals in 29 appearances

Did really well as our substitute central midfielder and grew by one overall this season but now he's decreasing in physical stats. Passed and attacked well and was always solid. Will not get sold but will get dropped from the bench.

RW: Domenico Berardi, 82 Ovr, 22 Years Old, 7/10
3 goals and 4 assists in 36 appearances

Berardi had another bad season for us in which he was clinical enough for us. Created only seven goals which is not good enough for a player of his overall and position. Was the starting right winger but he lost his spot to Alexis Sanchez in January. Will continue being our substitute winger.

ST: Wissam Ben Yedder, 78 Ovr, 26 Years Old, 8/10
14 goals and 4 assists in 28 appearances

Ben Yedder was bought in the summer to be our clinical second-choice striker and that's exactly what he was. Got most of his appearances from the bench but still managed to score in every second game he played. Will keep his spot on the bench.

CAM: Robert Teichgräber, 75 Ovr, 17 Years Old, 7.5/10 (from the academy)
2 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances

One of our five or six youth academy graduates in the squad and only one of them who has been with the team for more than two months. The teenager took the substitute spot from Hany Mukhtar He got almost all of his appearances from the bench and he did well in them. Won't get replaced.

CDM: Saul Ñiguez, 78 Ovr, 22 Years Old, 7.5/10
1 assist in 19 appearances

The second-choice defensive midfielder of our team who didn't play that much. Saul was good and solid in the games he played but sadly for him the competition for his position is too high. Will keep his place as a reserve midfielder.

Thank you for reading this season! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

No, I won't. If I sell someone who I need to replace I will buy other players. Reus and Hummels were aigned for free in January which means that buying a CDM is the only target.

Strongly dislike your career. Yep all of it. Even putting the word "Dons" at the end of Milton Keynes insults me. HOWEVER, you're doing really well and I must say I like your in game pictures. Real nice touch!

No problem. If it doesn't work out we'll think of some other stuff. Let me know what you ended up doing and how it went!

Sorta, but not really. In real life it is possible, as most nations have league, domestic cup, and a shot at continental cups like the Copa Libertadores (equivalent of Champions League) and Copa Sudamericana (equivalent of Europa League but not available in FIFA). From what I've read FIFA still hasn't added Mexico's domestic cup, but you could still win a treble there since Mexico, and Argentina, have two short league tournaments in a year and also the continental cup. Winning two back to back league tournaments is already very rare. Since Mexico changed to it's current format only two teams have been able to do it, UNAM and most recently Leon. So yes you sort of can win a treble, but not like in Europe. MLS doesn't participate in any continental tournaments.

Haha, respect for that. I know I probably won't win you over right now, but maybe Phil goes somewhere else in the future. :P

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Sent To Coventry
Season 3
FIFA 15

Match 11

West Brom 1-3 Coventry
Agard 56
Nouble 62
Dorrans 76
Fleck 78 (PEN)

In our first derby match of the season, the deadlock wasn't broken until the second half when Agard slid in to knock the ball home from a low ball in by Nouble. Nouble then made it 2, running clear to curl home before Dorrans pulled one back with an incredibly powerful free kick into the top corner. Fleck made it 3 from the spot when Nouble was brought down in the box after cutting inside his man. Victory in our first derby!

Match 12

Coventry 1-0 Manchester United
Nouble 84
In a match that no-one expected us to win, we surprisingly came out on top, if with a few scares. We had the first real chance when Lindergaard pulled off an incredible save to deny an Agard header. Rooney managed to curl an incredible shot onto the post and Marshall made an incredible point blank save to deny Hernandez. Lindegaard then made a massive error, getting tackled 30 yards out but Hughes curling effort managed to be clawed away with an incredible stop to make up for it. Smalling then had a goal ruled out for offside, smashing in on the rebound of Jones effort that was parried. Nouble then finally broke the deadlock, heading in from a corner. Fellaini came close to an equaliser, smashing off the post with an outside the foot curler.

Match 13

Aston Villa 0-0 Coventry
In our second derby of the season, it was quite a bland nil-nil draw. Villa had the majority of the chances, Edenilson and Weimann both missing sitters while we came closest with a shot by Nouble that was saved spectacularly by Pantilimon.

Match 14

Coventry 1-1 Southampton
Agard 31
Long 90

Agard opened the scoring in this match after an outstanding passing move between himself and Nouble. Southampton then dominated the match from then on but we were holding out until Long smashed in an equaliser in the last minute of the game.

League Table

1. Chelsea 32
2. Manchester United 30
3. Newcastle 30
4. Arsenal 27
5. Liverpool 24
6. Manchester City 22
-----
7. Coventry 22
-----
18. Stoke 10
19. Hull 7
20. West Ham 6
