Stopping the counter attack?

I was playing 4-2-3-1, My problem was more like it didnt seem like Aguero was even trying for the header because he never appeared to jump. But his contact with Vidic causes Vidic to miss as the ball goes right by his head. Vidic and comes down and stumbles but so does Aguero. Aguero recover facing the ball. and god know what the hell ferdinand was doing but Aguero wins a foot race and fires on past the keeper. It happened twice. I wil try using b more often. But has anyone else noticd players going up and noone heading the ball Almost like a player is being undercut out of the air so he can't head it.
