Mainly to get the defensive line up where it should be, as in real life. By default, they sit FAR too deep for any top, TOP team. The length keeps the space natural & compresses it enough to build up some good football & attacking.

Marking is at 55 & overall, the centre halves defend as they should & press the attacking players sufficiently
