Re: TNK - NHL 16 ALL-STAR SLIDERS

Thanks for the sliders TNK. They are really good! I use them at Play Now mode and been having great sim-style games. I use True Broadcast cam, authentic sizes and all the icons, indicators and guides OFF. I also use auto aim for the first time and it's been good because I see great shooters find better spots. And when I play I won't skip any of the replays. Often it looks like real deal. Great sliders indeed. Only thing I've touched is that I use 9 minutes. Just played Coyotes (me) vs Flyers and here are the stats:

ARZ (hum) - PHI (cpu)
Goals 1 - 4
Total Shot 24 - 27
Hits 12 - 14
TOA 7:45 - 7:14
Passing% 69 - 75
PIM 4 - 6
PP 0/3 - 1/2
PP mins 6 - 3:36
FOW 16 - 25
Breakaways 0/0 - 0/2
SH goals 0 - 0

Goals: Simmonds 2, Giroux 1, Read 1 and Vermette 1.

I'm just working through the latest roster update, assigning players and creating some AHL guys I want in the game, editing goalie equipment......I'll hopefully be fine tuning sliders and finally starting my franchise in the next couple days

Re: TNK - NHL 16 ALL-STAR SLIDERS

TNK - BOSTON BRUINS FRANCHISE

Game #1 of The Season

Winnipeg Jets (0-0-0) @ Boston Bruins (0-0-0)

The Bruins open up at home as the Winnipeg Jets come to TD Garden to begin the season. The Jets came out flying and had some quick scoring chances early on and went on the powerplay just a few minutes into the game, but Tuukka Rask made a couple big saves to keep the game scoreless. The Bruins would get on the board first as Loui Eriksson used his speed to fight his way past Tyler Myers and was able to kick the puck back to his stick and beat Pavelec for a beautiful goal to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. The 1st period would end with the Bruins leading 1-0 and the Jets holding a 15-13 edge in shots. The Bruins would extend their lead midway through the 2nd period when Colin Miller skated out from behind the Boston net and made a strong pass to hit Ryan Spooner who had a step on Enstrom and Spooner would race in and beat Pavelec on the backhand to make it 2-0 with 12:37 remaining in the 2nd period. Boston struck again just 28 seconds later when David Pastrnak deked through a defenders skates and slid a perfect pass to Matt Beleskey at the far post for Beleskey's first goal in a Bruins uniform to give the Bruins a commanding 3-0 lead. The 2nd period would come to a close with Boston leading 3-0 and holding a 29-25 edge in shots after dominating play in the period. The Jets entered the 3rd period needing a huge effort as they trailed by 3 goals and they would go on the powerplay just 1:13 into the period after Zach Rinaldo was called for holding but the Bruins penalty killers did a good job to kill it off. Patrice Bergeron made a nice pass to Brad Marchand on the rush who beat Pavelec with a wrist shot to increase the Bruins lead to 4-0 with 12:14 to play and put the game out of reach. That would be all fro Pavelec as he was replaced in net by Michael Hutchinson. The Jets finally got on the board a minute later when Andrew Ladd ripped a bomb of a slapshot that broke through Rask for goal to cut the Boston lead to 4-1 with 11:15 remaining. Chris Thorburn and Adam McQuaid squared off in a heavyweight tilt as Winnipeg started to control the play but it was too little too late as the Bruins come away with an impressive 4-1 victory on opening night.

TNK - BOSTON BRUINS FRANCHISE

Game #2 of The Season

Montreal Canadiens (1-0-0) @ Boston Bruins (1-0-0)

The Bruins and Canadiens renew their rivalry in the 2nd game of the season for each team. Montreal absolutely dominated the 1st period as they out-shot the Bruins by a 14-6 margin but there would be no scoring until Montreal took the lead at 9:19 of the 2nd period when Alex Semin stuffed home a rebound past Rask to give the Canadiens a 1-0 lead. The score would remain 1-0 through the end of the 2nd period as the Bruins struggled to get much pressure generated in the offensive zone and were being out-shot 30-12 after two periods of play. The Canadiens made it 2-0 just 2:10 into the 3rd period as David Desharnais beat Rask with a wrist shot from the slot. The Bruins finally started to find their legs midway through the 3rd period as they were able to get some offensive opportunities and Colin Miller would score his 1st NHL goal as he blew a slap shot from the point through a screen and past Dustin Tokarski to cut the deficit to 2-1 with 10:47 left to play. The Bruins would push the pace over the final 10 minutes and generated a bunch of chances and had the Canadiens scrambling as they tried to hold on to their 2-1 lead. Claude Julien would call a timeout and pull Rask with 1:30 to play as the Bruins tried to tie the score. Boston was able to keep the puck in the Montreal end with the extra attacker but could not get the puck past Tokarski despite a flurry of shots towards the net and Montreal would hold on as time expired and the Canadiens would escape with a 2-1 victory to improve to 2-0-0 on the season as Boston suffers their first loss of the season and falls to 1-1-0

TNK - BOSTON BRUINS FRANCHISE

Game #3 of The Season

Tampa Bay Lightning (1-1-0) @ Boston Bruins (1-1-0)

The Bruins wrap up their season opening 3 game home stand as the Lightning come to Boston with both teams sporting identical 1-1-0 records through their first two games. The Lightning caught a break early in the 1st period as a harmless shot towards the net by Braydon Coburn hit the leg of the Bruins defender and the puck bounced perfectly to Tye McGinn who was able to knock it in at the far post to give the Lightning a 1-0 lead. The Bruins carried the play for most of the 1st period and held a 12-8 advantage in shots despite trailing 1-0 after the 1st period. Boston continued to apply good pressure early in the 2nd period but were unable to get the puck past Ben Bishop as the score remained 1-0 until midway through the period when Nikita Kucherov made a beautiful self pass off the side boards to get past a defender and fired a rocket past Tuukka Rask to push the Lightning lead to 2-0 with 9:15 remaining in the 2nd period. The Bruins got on the board a couple minutes later as they broke out of their zone and came in on an odd man rush with David Krejci sliding the puck over to David Pastrnak who beat Bishop for a nice goal to cut the Tampa Bay lead to 2-1. The Bruins continued to outplay the Lightning, but trailed 2-1 at the end of the second period despite out-shooting Tampa by a 30-15 margin. Ben Bishop continued to be the difference in the game, turning away shot after shot early in the 3rd period with the Lightning clinging to a 2-1 lead. The Bruin continued to apply pressure as we approached the midway point of the 3rd period and Bishop made the save on a Tory Krug slap shot, but Zach Rinaldo was there to bat the rebound out of the air and into the net for a goal that was waved off by the referee. The play was reviewed and the initial call was overturned after the replay showed that Rinaldo made contact with the puck just below the crossbar and Rinaldo was credited with his 1st goal in a Bruins uniform to tie the game at 2-2 with 10:18 remaining. The stage was set for a fantastic finish as the game moved under 6 minutes to play when Matt Carle was called for tripping to put the Bruins on their first powerplay of the night, giving Boston a chance to take the lead with 5:25 remaining. The Lightning PK unit did a good job of not allowing Boston to get setup and looked like they were going to kill it off until Boston was able to work the puck down low with the man advantage winding down and Loui Eriksson slid a pass across the slot to Ryan Spooner who fired the puck past Bishop for a huge powerplay goal to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead and send the TD Garden crowd into a frenzy. The Lightning would pull Bishop in the final minute for the extra attacker but were unable to get any quality chances on Rask as the Bruins come away with a huge come from behind 3-2 victory

* The Bruins come back from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and improve to 2-1-0 on the season

* Boston dominated this game as they out-shot the Lightning 52-22

* Ben Bishop played amazing for Tampa Bay as the Bruins peppered him with 52 shots and looked like he was going to steal his team a victory before the Bruins were able to get 2 pucks past him in the final 10 minutes of the 3rd period.

TNK - BOSTON BRUINS FRANCHISE

Game #4 of The Season

Boston Bruins (2-1-0) @ COlorado Avalanche (2-0-0)

The Bruins travel to Colorado for their first road game of the season as they will face the Avalanche who are 2-0-0 to start the season. Tuukka Rask will get the night off as Boston will go with Jonas Gustavsson in net and Tyler Randell will make his NHL debut for Boston skating on the 4th line. The Bruins scored just 1:33 into the game as the Pastrnak-Krejci-Beleskey line converted perfectly executed rush with Krejci finishing the play for the goal to give Boston a 1-0 lead. The Avalanche would tie the game up a few minutes later on the powerplay with Zdeno Chara in the box for tripping and Gabriel Landeskog would take a backdoor pass from MacKinnon and bury it to tie the game at 1-1. The Avalanche found themselves on the man advantage again and Chris Kelly was called for hooking to give Colorado a 5 on 3 powerplay and former Bruin Carl Soderberg stuffed home a rebound to give Colorado a 2-1 lead midway through the 1st period. The Bruins played a very undisciplined as they were called for 5 penalties, spending a significant amount of the period short handed and were lucky to only trail 2-1 at the intermission. The score would remain to 2-1 until David Pastrnak took a pass from Beleskey and fired a wrist shot that beat Varlamov to tie the score at 2-2 with 6:37 to play int he 2nd period. Colorado took the lead right back just a minute later when John Mitchell stuffed the puck past Gustavsson in a net front scrum to give the Avalanche a 3-2 lead. The game would go to the 3rd period with Colorado leading 3-2 but John Mitchell was called for a hook to put Boston on the powerplay with 14:52 remaining. The Bruins powerplay did a great job of working the puck around and generated several quality shots on the powerplay but Varlamov was equal to the task as the Avalanche get a huge kill from their PK unit. Boston kept coming and Varlamov made the save of the night midway through the period as a rebound came right Ryan Spooner who fired what he thought was a game tying goal but Varlamov dove across his crease to make the save as he swatted the puck out of midair with his stick. The Bruins found themselves shorthanded again late in the 3rd period and the Avalanche scored their 3rd powerplay goal of the night when Tyson Barrie ripped a bomb from the point that ricocheted off of a Boston defender in front and past Gustavsson on the deflection for a huge insurance goal to give Colorado a 4-2 lead with 4:19 to play. Gabriel Landeskog would score his 2nd of the night a couple minutes later to make it 5-2 and Jack Skille would score in the final minute to give the Avalanche an impressive 6-2 victory as the Bruins get their butts kicked and fall to 2-2-0 on the season.

* The first road game of the year was a disaster for the Bruins as they play a sloppy, undisciplined game and take a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Avalanche who remain unbeaten at 3-0-0 on the season.

* The game was close throughout as Boston trailed 3-2 with under 5 minutes to play in the game before they completely fell apart and allowed 3 goals in a span of 3:37

* Jonas Gustavsson allowed 6 goals in his Bruins debut but played reasonably well considering that the Avalanche had 8 powerplays (3 PP goals) and the Bruins played horrible defensive hockey in the game. Gustavsson stopped 43 of 49 shots

* The Bruins fall to 2-2-0 on the season and will travel to Arizona for a road game with the Coyotes next

TNK - BOSTON BRUINS FRANCHISE

Game #5 of The Season

Boston Bruins (2-2-0) @ Arizona Coyotes (1-3-0)

The Bruins look to bounce back after a tough loss to Colorado in their previous game as they travel to Arizona to take on the Coyotes. The Bruins came out flying and out-shot the Coyotes 18-4 in a dominant 1st period as the Bruins were able to generate several quality chances, but the game was scoreless after one period as Mike Smith was outstanding in the Arizona net. Boston opened the scoring 1:54 into the 2nd period when Brad Marchand took a pass from Bergeron in the high slot and beat Smith with a wrist shot to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. The Bruins were applying pressure in the offensive zone and extended their lead at the 6:50 mark of the period when Smith made a save and the Coyotes defender tried to skate the puck to safety, but David Krejci was there to lift the stick to steal the puck and he fired a quick shot that beat Smith five hole to push the Bruins lead to 2-0. The Bruins were in complete control of the game until Loui Eriksson made a terrible decision not to dump the puck with the Bruins in the middle of a line change and turned the puck over leading to a breakaway for Lucas Lessio who beat Rask to get the Coyotes on the board and cut the lead to 2-1. Arizona seemed to get their legs going after the Lessio goal and Tuukka Rask had to make a couple of big saves on point blank chances late in the period to preserve the lead and we would go to the 2nd intermission with Boston leading 2-1. The Coyotes had an early powerplay opportunity when Pastrnak was called for a trip just 1:13 into the 3rd period but Rask made a couple key saves and the Boston PK unit was able to kill off the penalty and protect their 2-1 lead. The Coyotes had momentum as they made a push to try and tie the game but Rask was equal to the task as we moved past the midway point of the 3rd period with under 10 minutes to play. Rask made a huge pad save on a deflection with 5:09 remaining to keep the score 2-1. Bruins coach Claude Julien used his timeout get his team rested for the final 5 minutes and try to wake his team up as they were sitting back on their heels with the Coyotes buzzing the Boston net. Rask made a bunch of saves late and Smith would head to the Arizona bench for the extra attacker before Matt Beleskey would put the nail in the coffin as he scored an empty net goal to finish off a 3-1 road victory for the Bruins.

* The Bruins grind out a hard fought 3-1 victory in Arizona to improve to 3-2-0 on the season and the Coyotes drop to 1-4-0 as they are off to a tough start

* Tuukka Rask was back between the pipes for Boston after getting the night off in the last game against Colorado and Rask was terrific in this game, especially late as he made several big saves with the Bruins clinging to a 2-1 lead.

* Zach Trotman was in the lineup for the first time this season after being a healthy scratch for the first 4 games. Trotman took the place of Joe Morrow on defense after Morrow had a tough night against the Avalanche and Trotman played a solid, mistake free game in 17:50 of ice time.

* The Bruins will travel back to Boston for a home game against the Philadelphia Flyers in their next contest
