I got that problem last year's game and the first month of this year's game also...finally I think I figured out... it had to do with my screen resolution, I suggest you use the calibration options on the game and the screen resolution options of your TV screen to make sure the whole game is presented on your screen (in my LG TV was 16:9 and Scan: On). Before doing this, maybe quarter of an inch of the game image in the left part of the screen was left out, it was unnoticeable when I played, but that crashed the presentation exactly how you described...at least I haven't had any more crashes in the mini-intro after doing this adjustment...hope this helps

The intros are random so you can go a long time without seeing the anthems but they are there.

Yes, I agree.......AS default, Game speed 2, learning and difficulty both at 0, 8 min periods plays a good game of hockey.

What period lengths are you playing?
