As the title suggests, I will be in possession of a PlayStation 4 at some point this Winter. I am an enormous hockey fan and have purchased the NHL consistently the last 5 years. I play mostly GM Mode and do care about the correctness of rosters, player positions, etc. I also occasionally use online and HUT. NHL is usually a must-buy for me, but last year's effort and this year's mess from EA Vancouver have left me wondering if I should even bother.

So my question to you lovely people is do you believe NHL 15, taking into account the things that have been patched, is worth it for an NHL fan to purchase?

Hi OP, sorry for barging in but I was just going to start a thread like this so thought I'd just post it in here. I'm a hockey fan who's been playing the NHL series for years, strictly GM mode, and I'm on the fence about getting this game. I'd also like someone who owns the game to answers the questions the OP has... specifically, what is missing from GM mode at this point that was in NHL 14. I know player editing is out and I think the AHL games are gone if I recall correctly, anything else major? Thanks?

I only play Be A GM (and occasionally dabble in Be A Pro), and I'm honestly having a blast with the game. I find it fun and entertaining with very good production value.

I'm definitely in the minority, though.

I enjoy it very much... Never played the modes that are missing. The on ice game to game play is amazing. Honestly is the best hockey game I've played. Find a good set of sliders and is amazingly sim style. Now that the rosters are out I can start my serious franchise.

if U are not hockey fanatic like me, then NO.
Especially if U own NHL 14, cuz its the same game with better puck physics and graphics.

Its worthy $40 imo, not more.

I assumed a discount is involved, since he said "this winter." The base price will probably be cheaper by the time he's ready to buy it.
