12/3 roster update out

It's the first update of CHL (the "Q", OHL and WHL) squads, and also contains several prospects in their AHL teams. The usual NHL debutants are in there, too.

P.S. At long last, Tyler Kennedy is in the game LOL

Back on November 20th I checked the real AHL rosters and created all the missing players. In the interest of time I only worried about the top 15 point scorers and the goalies on each team at that time. I had to create 41 players and as of this latest update 18 are still missing. I'm glad I didn't wait on this. I also checked in on Goalies and guys like Jake Allen still wearing the wrong colors.....come on man. If a roster share feature isn't here next year it will be a travesty.

I swear it's like they gave a 5th grader the job of updating rosters

I know sometimes we can be pretty hard on EA but when it comes to these roster updates I think every ounce of it is deserved. One individual can have these rosters updated and the goalie gear updated and correct in a few days. I know because I have done it myself and so have many of you.

Not sure if by "they" you mean EA or Providence. If it's the former, then that's just sloppy, getting one ECHL player in and not an AHL player. If it's the latter, that's just sloppy, and probably a simple mistake.

I was waiting for this update because there were so many missing AHL players, but after a quick review I'm not sure I'll be using it. I already put in a few hours work on the 11/10 update and I really don't want to start over.

Yes, a lot of new AHL players were created, but they also removed some players as well. Probably because they haven't signed a PHPA agreement yet.

I plan on posting a list of missing players on EA's forums. I'll do the same here.

This will be a list of players that are under contract with their respective NHL teams who have been assigned to the minors (AHL/ECHL) and will not include anyone who signed an AHL contract. It will solely be a list for information purposes, not a demand that they be added at once.

Just boggles my mind all these years later still.. That they can't get the NHL rosters correct or at least 95% correct. But sweet, we get some CHL and international type leagues updated as well.

Drives me nuts!
