Body Checking

I just started playing NHL 19 yesterday and it's the first time I've played the NHL series since NHL 15. To say the game is completely different is an understatement. That being said, what's the deal with body checking? I can't do squat without my guys being freight trained. The CPU is like a magnet for my players. Yet, me? I haven't come close to connecting on a hit. Last game I played was like 30 to 0 on hits. WTF? What gives?

I've been playing with these sliders trying to turn down body checking for the CPU because it's so unrealistic and yet nothing works. Got CPU aggression at 0 and still getting ran over left and right. I can't even set up a proper point shot because of it. Amazing how I can't come close to getting a hit but they own me like a magnet to the point where I'm better off not even trying to hit because they just avoid me and get a clean shot. I should just give up trying to set up a point shot on the PP because this is nothing like real hockey.

The game is screwed up right now do to tuners and/or patches (nobody really knows). The current state of the game is not what it was when it was first released. You're playing a version that has much controversy surrounding it.

One thing you can do is try a different tuner. There are currently 4 to choose from (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3).

1.3 is the latest and considered the worst by most. Although, I think the patch screwed things up globally because I don't find much of a difference between any of them with slashing penalties being a (new) problem on all of them.

Return your sliders to default and try out the different tuners. You're going to have a heck of a process to go through to find a playable version. I've given up, though. I'm waiting for a new patch or something to correct this debacle.

Only guys with more hits than my guys played seven games whereas mine only played four. The hitting is way too nuts in this game.

What settings are you using? (level, game type, minutes, and slider adjustments).

I'm using alTito's sliders in the slider's thread. Didn't update the tuners outside of the original cause everyone said it played best.
