So it may play the way you want for a few days or weeks, then they will take it away.

I've invested a lot of time getting the tuner correct to 1.01,...no thanks...
If they would have said they are bringing it back and not taking it away, then I would use it and give feedback. It's already January,...by late May or June, hockey is over and we are waiting for the next years release.
I don't think they can take it away for offline modes, unless you overwrite it somehow?

What exactly does this mean? This "beta tuner" will be around for a short period of time? Anyone know how long?

WHEN: Friday, January 18th at 02:00 AM PT until Friday, January 25th at 02:00 AM PT*
At that time I'd assume they'll revert the tuner in the 1.00 slot (which is currently the beta one) back to the actual 1.00 tuner.

Don’t understand why they just don’t leave it alone and keep it as the V1.00 with the beta changes. Another atrocity by EA for the NHL series 🤬

For online modes yes.. but for offline modes, as long as you don't download any tuner updates the original beta v1.00 tuner would remain, at least that's how I see it.

Yeah it just doesn't make any sense why they'd do that. Lol, what is the actual point?

Feedback. This is a test for gathering info and little more, I think. It's not a true re-creation of the beta as mentioned upthread, but it's as close as they're going to get without reverting patches, and since people's opinions were so high on the beta they wanted people to try it again to see if they still felt that way.

I do think that if reaction to this tuner is positive (and it seems to be so far), that some of the features of this old tuner might find their way into the next actual tuner (and/or '20).

No need to share my opinion on "testing", specifically on online modes, for feedback on a game that released 3 months ago (not directed at your post bcruise, nor am I assuming your opinion).

Just seems the implementation of the beta tuner was based on feedback. Why introduce it only to go back? People are already confused about how the patches are sticking and only the tuner itself is rolling back. Now you're going to roll this out to appease people who liked the beta (change) only to roll it back (another change) to the tuner that many people didn't like? It's almost like they're asking to be burned by the community. It seems like they have no freaking clue what they're doing...

Glad I didn't let this suck me back in. I'm back to refusing to give EA my money for the NHL series until they can get their heads out of their collective asses.
