PS4 controller issue

Ok. I’m trying to figure out if anyone else is having or seeing this issue and I don’t know what it is.

Some games I don’t stick handle at all. I push the RS in any direction and nothing!!

Has anyone else had this happen and if so how did you fix it.

It even happens with a wired controller!!

Looks like it's the controller, never had that happen on my PS4.

But, I've had drifting issue lately on my Left Stick.... It was going up and left by itself, so since I play mostly position lock, I noticed that my player was really struggling when he had to back check. The animation was weird and he looked dead tired, but only when backchecking, lol !

Long story short, I saw a video explaining how to get rid of drift, by cleaning and stuff and it worked ! In NHL it resulted in a brand new pair of skates, when before it's like my player was having a edge on his blades or it needed a sharpen real bad, lol !

A little bit weird the procedure, but it fixed my drifting and with a QTip you could see that it gathered some dust... I'm happy, was about to call Sony to replace my controller, lol !

Could the be controller. PS4 is not known to have very good controllers. I've gone through quite a few because the triggers don't work well, or the sticks act up. I bought a new one and right away the left stick was causing my character to "look down" while he was walking. And that was brand new out of the box.
