Oh, and I already hate that new broadcast system. Just give us something that resembles a real life broadcast.

There's a HUGE difference between those nice shiny graphics up close and then the actual graphics during gameplay.
you got it, that's what I was pointing out, thanks for correcting me and spotting what I was seeing.

am not sure if they were quite updated yet in this video, am excited to see the finished product, but I liked what I saw, it gave me chills.
I'm pretty sure it also gives you chills when you take your morning dump.

But yeah, good for you, I guess.

I liked how it looked but it’ll be hard to admire the graphical updates when you’re actually playing since personally I play on the overhead camera settings.

I saw a lot of goals scored in the trailer with a shot on net against the goalie and not with one-timers/cross-crease but will need to see if that’s possible on higher difficulties above Pro.

Stick physics looks interesting, especially since the poke check has been so broken and just touching someone makes them go down.

A little disappointed there was nothing about goalie physics. The cross crease and glitch goals have been the weak point the past few years and it would be great to see legacy issues like that fixed.

Game looks beautiful, but a flashy trailer isn’t enough for me to be 100% sold.

Re: NHL 22 Gameplay Trailer

to me looks like they tried to copy a resemblance to 2k series hockey graphics, I dunno if anyone saw that in the trailer, I coulda swore they are taking tips from 2k series hockey graphics, I just hope goalies are a lot better in be a pro, am just being optimistic and hopeful.

Really glad they highlighted that they added shine to metal & tape. Very important aspect to show off in a gameplay trailer

Re: NHL 22 Gameplay Trailer

Stick physics look like a decent small improvement. Graphics aren’t the leap I’d been expecting but look better. They really showcased the eye tracking in the first part, which is nice but quite minor compared to other things that are much more needed, and will only be on next gen.

Overall, it looked better than the last couple of years, but not in a significant way. The animations are still very stiff and unnatural for 2022. We need new animations and better player movement. Players need to have different strides and postures to spice up the look of the game. I don’t want to edit 1000 players skating styles myself.

Presentation looks meh. It’s different, maybe better, but still not what we need. Arenas look good. Hopefully crowds are more lifelike and lively. Hopefully they’ve added significant player likenesses. And hopefully franchise has some genuine improvements.

I’ll give it a shot. Hockey is the only sport I follow closely and the only video game I play. I’ve played ice hockey for 31 years. The game is enjoyable enough for me to play in my downtime and scratch the hockey itch.
