Do ground stats even matter

We'll just have to disagree then. I've had the exact opposite experience as you. Unless the opponent is really good on the ground, I have no problem with my boxer who has horrible ground stats.

I don't know why I'm even posting, UFC 2 is getting traded in this afternoon.

Correct. Ground players are at a massive disadvantage compared to punch spammers with limitless supplies of stamina. Anyone who says otherwise has spent zero time on the ground or is delusional.

If chin stats are equal, I'd much rather have the ground stat advantage.
