Also, just because people arent critical the way you guys are (which at times is over the top) doesnt mean that we arent critical behind the scenes. What is the point of me bitching about a decision they made on OS when I can go directly to a dev and explain to him/her what the issue is and why it needs to be fixed?
i concede i had little logic behind the first statement. my reasoning was kinetic NRG isn't one anymore and he was pretty critical? Or maybe he is again? idk. admittedly, i was trying to push an agenda there with little logical reasoning to support my own theory. but i'd imagine it wouldn't be okay for GC's to be overly critical of the game publicly, right? I think that's a fair assumption to make?

and i'm sure these things have been said behind the scenes but are they still being said? and how much emphasis is on them? because i would have to think that what is said publicly is somewhat reflective of what is said behind the scenes also. And lately, martial hasn't been nearly critical enough from what i've seen of him talking about the new game.

you are probably one of the more critical GC's atm. at least from what i've been seeing and reading (which again has to be fairly reflective of the criticism brought to the table behind the scenes as well).

I dont know a single place that someone can work or provide input where you can go in, "rip them to pieces" and expect that you will still be asked to provide input. Thats not the real world.

Also, credit to Geoff. He made you guys feel that a point you made singularly guided a decision he made. I'll be blunt with you though: Not a single decision made by that dev team (including Geoff) happened because one person (Not a GC or a member outside the team) suggested it.

Not one.
I mean there were decisions made because one person suggested it. to fighter moves, animations, and stats. i remember mentioning specific ways in which Nick Diaz needed to be buffed and the changes made were highly reflective of what I suggested - but it made him one of the most OP fighters in UFC 3 because of the ways the buffs worked alongside the rest of his stats and the meta. just an example. sure, the bigger the change, the more people will be involved in the decision going ahead, but OS really did have a lot of influence over the direction of the game imo. Much more than you'd think considering how small of a community it is. once GPD left that seemed to end though.

Also you guys got paid for it right, if you were not then fair enough but im willing to bet you all were paid to whatever degree that was, thus proving my point about how bias your points have been over the years.
Trying to understand if you’re upset that he doesn’t share your opinion about the game or that he’s not cursing out the dev team?

The guy is kind enough to come here and share whatever info he’s able to. As a GC he’s simply entrusted to provide input on the game. No need to attack him, he’s not actually responsible for the product. In fact most of the devs are just doing what they are paid to do. It’s not like they all get to decide what direction the game takes.

It’s a video game, if you don’t like it don’t buy it. Sharing your feedback on the game is fine. We all want a better mma game. Just try not to take it out on contributing members of the community. It doesn’t help and only makes this place toxic.

As of August, I think Kenetic is still a game changer. I havent heard that he has moved on and he was playing the most recent build we had access too.

To answer your question, you can be publicly critical but I cant go over the top nor would I want to. To be honest, I'm probably saying more than I should about the game to you all but EA is giving me a little leeway because I dont go too far.

Fighter moves and stats are handled by a committee of GCs and devs with the devs making the final call. Its been that way since UFC2. I know this because I was the GC primarily handling stats and AI through UFC 3 (the new guys handling it are much better than me at this).

I'm not saying that your suggestions on Nick Diaz werent spurred by your request but there is a big process behind the scenes regarding any fighter changes. No changes are made primarily because someone (or even alot of people) on OS suggested a change.

If only he had cursed loud enough, maybe we'd have universe mode by now.

Curses.
