I get your argument but I'm sure there's more than a few. I think the clinches should be like takedowns, like you rarely get a takedown to side control unless you have a stamina advantage. I think it should be near impossible to go straight to MT without a big stamina advantage.

Even if some were missed that's still less than 10 in as many years. It shouldn't be so damn easy to end the fight from clinch. Between the MT 1 strike lands KO and the overpowered flying 2 gate submissions that for some reason rarely get denied, the clinch is OP as hell.

Ben Saunders vs. Marcus Davis
Mike Pyle vs. James Head
I think Matt Brown has ended a fight from the clinch, but can't remember who it was off of the top of my head.

I think most good clinch fighters usually hurt someone really badly from the clinch, then let go to release a flurry of punches either against the cage or through GnP.

But that was after release. So which fights did EA have in mind when implementing the clinch during development?

Haven't run into too many flying submissions, Frank Mir has a mean rolling kneebar though from over under.

Matt brown is the only fighter I can think of who uses the clinch in a manner similar to the game.
