Kicks EA UFC 2 used alot of same kicks in more then one input such as Crane kicks, switch kicks, body kicks. with a modifer, and without modifer some same kicks were accessible.

EA MMA used both flick and Spinning inputs like this for such strikes, While UFC Undisputed 3 used flick inputs + the technique Modifier to use certain moves in their game.

As I was thinking about this I'm sure EA still somehow let's certain moves be effected by movement of the left stick, the jumping off the cage strikes I don't see being done any other way.

However if Such a scheme was used plus EA UFC forward and backward movements, then the moves done would be rediculous to how many strikes we would have access to.

Punches really don't need forward and backward movements to effect what type of strike thrown, if anything it's kicks IMO that kind of need that aspect. But if some strikes we're accessible via a flick motion such as flying knees and such then we wouldn't really need forward and backward motions to effect the type of kick thrown.

Also might I add EA UFC 2 already has commands that require you to hold both L1 & L2 in order to use those strikes/takedowns. So that is nothing new. As Well a kick modifer wouldn't be new either. EA MMA was the first.

Please do not get worried about the controls because of my post. This is no confirmation of anything just a hypothetical scheme and vision of what I feel possible Controls may be based off FNC, EA MMA, EA UFC 1 & 2, & UFC Undisputed. Also this isn't even close to a full list of strikes, strikes after sways, back peddling, sidestepping, after dash, potential auto lunge strikes, Ground Strikes. Clinch Strikes. Body Punches. Also this is without including movement effecting strikes. With GDP saying the Mocap is more then any MMA game has had. It makes you wonder how many strike animations EA UFC 3 has as well the overall # of animations. So many possibilities EA Canada has for options based off the control schemes, and combat inputs from so many different games.

Kick Controls Vision 2
My First Post was without EA UFC 2 Logic Of Movement effecting strikes. This Post However Will Be A Vision Of Movement Effecting Kick Strikes but in a similar but also different way then EA UFC 2. This Hypothetical Idea is a Hybrid of FNC, EA UFC 2, EA MMA, & UFC Undisputed 3.
Until we know what ever button does all we can do is Invision until it's revealed to us.

EA UFC 2 Only Has 23 Kicks On The Select Slot List. 10 Left Leg, 10 Right Leg, &
3 Cage Kicks/ Knees.


L2 Kick Modifer/Takedown Modifer. Or R1 Kick Modifer Only. 48 Strikes Total

^ Nice. I could definitely see them going with FNC style controls and having a modifier for kicks for sure, where all the face buttons could become kicks. But it may just be two buttons for kicks also, cuz body punches need to be under a body modifier too. This game's controls could definitely potentially scramble some brains for a bit.

Back dash is a legit thing...it's just that it's trash in UFC 2. It literally shortens strikes. Like if you throw a strike when someone back dashes, it causes your strike to be like pulled back or something. Then on top of that, you can do it even if your back is up against the cage.

If that were true it would confirm changes to R1 & R2 As well.
However with a possibility of Right Stick Headmovement, R1 & R2 Could Remain The Same as two separate High & Low Blocks. Allowing A Kick Modifer to easily take the L2 Input...

I'll wait until you reveal. But either way no one can complain because the inputs you have hear aren't anything new. EA UFC 2 already has Inputs requiring L1+ L2 and a face button or Right Stick Input for Takedowns.

I think head movement has moved to R2/RT and the right stick.
