Re: Separate ratings for punch/kick speed/power

EA MMA had the PERFECT ratings imo. All I need is EA UFC (likely UFC 4 now) to bring those same ratings over and we're good lol.

I generally create realistic CAFs, and if I wanted to create a gritty tough as nails grinder that could take some punishment but a lil slow with avg power, he would be represented perfectly. My CAF "Thriller" Miller was just that. Rarely KOed (if at all) but took a while to TKO or usually a decision loss when he'd take an L.

I suppose Perks can give this effect. But ratings can't be as broad as simply "power" & "speed". I'll wait and see what other perks have been established before I complain anymore on the rating omissions, but ratings from EA MMA really need to come back.

Re: Separate ratings for punch/kick speed/power

Everyone knows the Diaz Brothers kick like they're missing a calf muscle, but Nate feels like a Glory champion in this game. Hell, even Khabib feels dangerous on the feet, and we know he's not scaring anyone in that department.

I'm glad these things are being discussed. Attributes in sports games are important in general, but arguably even more so in a combat game. Only two characters are being controlled and focused on at all times, so everything is magnified. For a differentiation between characters and for the sake of realism itself, I really hope this is addressed before launch.

I'm late to the party.

But, I also want specific damage for punches vs. kicks

(in fact, i'd prefer power AND speed to be split into Left Hand vs. Right hand vs. Left foot vs. Right foot vs. Elbows. vs. Knees vs. GnP vs. Clinch....etc...)

That’s overkill and what the move levels are for

Fair enough

But, having just "one" power and "one" speed attribute....ehhh....not really a fan. I was totally fine with how it was in UFC 2 tbh

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Move Levels only impact Stamina Usage and POWER --- *NOT* Speed.

Re: Separate ratings for punch/kick speed/power

Wait....

EA UFC 2 had separate stats but EA UFC 3 does not??

Who in their right mind makes decisions like that and who are the people who agree thats a good idea?

Is it the same person who brought back the KO Zoom and the same person who took out punches after the KO (I'm sure these two are fixed but why was it there in the first place )

Yeah Diaz throws dem kicks out like a lightweight Bojansky and its utterly crazy, though I kinda liked fighting khabib, he'd try to chase you down with those dinosaur arms throwin' hooks and you could light him up from range. Though I don't think I've ever seen him throw a head kick, or.. anything other than a hendo Esq leg lick really.

I was sold one seperate punch/kick power/speed stats after I lit T-Ferg up with a 1-2-lead roundhouse kick, he blocked the 1-2 but ate the kick flush in the neck, but the speed and technique Nate had on that combo was insane. IRL it would have been
20x lighter than that brutal Vantanna headkick Tony literally headbutted.
Yet this put him out like a light.

It's also kinda awkward to go from a leg health event in your right leg, limping about, then the second the event ends, you boot someone in the face full force for a KO.

Edit: actually, a prime example of the Diaz kicking style is Nick vs Condit, I know its the wrog Diaz but their technique is very similar overall, Nick throws his kicks at half the speed of condits almost as a "**** you for trying to kick me" this is basically what the few Nate Diaz kicks I've seen look like, sure he could probably KO someone with one. But could he mix em up into combos at the speed he can in game, heeeelll no. Even just the basic jab-roundhouse he has is quite effective, as is that sneaky Q kick he throws asif possesed by the spirit of Glaube Feitosa himself, I love it. But c'mon son!
