Jon Jones has done it, and Aldo has done it too I'm pretty sure, but you're right that it should be locked off to guys like Jones, Aldo, Barao, Woodley etc

Re: Ankle Pick takedown

Pretty sure the ankle pick is bugged. Feels nigh-unstoppable, along the lines of the prepatch duck-takedown. The double and single GA changes based upon opponent movement feel good and fair, but the ankle pick feels not just unfair, but bugged. I see it coming, deny early, still get taken down. I have one of the highest TDD rates in these games (going by the fighter profiles from UFC1 and UFC2) and even I can't stop it. Other GC'ers brought it up before I did, also, so it's not just me.

Remember when we could shoot takedowns from the single collar as a way to always escape single collar for free? This feels like that.

As someone already stated it covers more range than the single or double, is harder to deny, AND puts you in side control. It's OP (because it's likely bugged) and there's no honest and fair rebuttal to that, even if you're enjoying easily dragging people to the mat, which I can understand since the game has been lacking in that regard for ages now. But let's not pretend that this is balanced.

It's pretty crazy, but I'm loving it. Great addition!

yeah, I'm not too mad since it was already mentioned prepatch that this would be fixed in the tuner, I guess it's best to avoid ranked unless you want to play that style.

Fighters like gsp take people down at will. If a grappler is any good he’s gonna take you down and he doesn’t need the clinch.

GSP has an abnormally high takedown completion percentage (73.8%), the vast majority of other takedown artists have far, far lower percentages, usually in the 40s but some like Frankie Edgar have percentages in the mid 30s. I wouldn't call under half the time "at will"

Re: Ankle Pick takedown

Slight tuning mess up with the ankle pick.

It's a little harder to deny than intended.

Working on a fix now to bring it in line with the power single.

Yh this is true. They said they would make some change to it in the tuner, but it still feels unstoppable and OP. No way to sugar coat it tbh.
