So Justin Gaethje's freezing cartwheel kick is STILL an issue?!

How long has the game been out for now? 🤔 How many patches and updates has this game been through? You're telling me his cartwheel kick STILL freezes opponents in place? There is STILL no penalty after blocking that kick. So much freezing, input lag and slow animations in this game, it's insane. This is not a fighting simulator, this is an arcade game! I pray one day FNC comes to PS4.

The rolling thunder is even more punishable than the cartwheel kick ...if your opponent is abusing it . I understand where you are coming from ...but any strike ought to interrupt and get you a knock down . If you hold block and do the push that's a knock down for you . Hard yes ...true but eh .

Then again I do see how the rolling thunder can be lethal .

Yair and Uriah Hall both need that move. Pretty sure they both have thrown it more than Gaethje has. I know at the very least Yair has. He throws 2 different variations of it, but in my Yair Fighter Authenticity thread, I provided video examples of him throwing the same exact 1 thats in the game like 4-5 different times .

Does anyone else have issues lunging away from this strike? Whenever I lunge left or right it still tracks me, though it does seemingly less damage.

Also there is a MASSIVE window after you block it where you can't strike.
Pretty much from the point the kick lands on your block, until the point Gatheje gets back to his feet, your strike inputs won't register.

Is that intentional?

Edit: I mean rolling thunder not cartwheel kick.

kinda of offtopic, but i dont understand why this game thinks that Cartwheel kick is one of the most powerful strikes in history of MMA
i got knocked out cold in UT by some cartwheels out of blue and it s kinda weird
it s not the point that s easy to counter or what
the point is it s way too powerful

Because you're playing UT and it's likely their move is at a level 5 or something crazy.

The cartwheel kick is frustrating in UT due to 100 stamina and power. It's a low risk high reward move since the punishment (unless timed perfectly after a duck....see below, isn't much). You could always put them on their ***, but this isn't always worth while in UT if you are a striker character. It would be easier to deal with if it wasn't accompanied with the knee and elbow combo. When you get to select the moves, it really comes down to putting together the perfect mix up for head to body and ducking to swaying. Turning everything into a coin flip is the UT meta.

nope it s golden move, that means lvl 3. it s absurd.
there will be magnetic pull and punch in ur face if u try roundhouse high and low or spinning kicks etc. but cartwheel just call down Subzero who will freeze everything..


what i dont understand u throw combo and enemy just in the middle of it can throw cartwheel and rock u or KOe with no risk... beautiful
