Re: Guide to takedown defense by Dmart

Based on the career videos I've seen they at least try to explain it a little. For all its supposed flaws, the lack of a proper tutorial was the worst thing about the previous game(s).

Do I have this right?

TD Defense = LT & RT

TD Counter = LT & RT & RB (move set dependent)

TD Counter Submission = LT & RT & LB (move set dependent)

TD Struggle (late denial) = LT & RT & Left stick up or down

Yeah that is what he said in the video, you also forgot to mention the sprawl, which is a perfectly timed TD or a pre-denied TD and away on the left analog stick.

I don't know why you guys are giving him crap, this was very informative and just watch it a couple of times. It really is not that hard to follow. Nobody needs to spoon feed you baby food.

Great tutorial here if you or anybody else needs a breakdown of the clinch, my bad if it's been posted already.

What are you talking about? Everyone in this thread seems happy that they're getting useful tips, I know I am. Who's giving him crap or saying it's hard to comprehend?

I had to re-read the thread a few times to see if I missed something because I don't get the tone of your response.

Yh thats it, along with the sprawl like said above. Its those driving td struggles you really wanna master defending though. Cuz against the best wrestlers/grapplers, thats how you'll have to be defending most of the time cuz their td ratings are high.

(Just slightly tweaked the thread title since this is more all-encompassing now posting guides from a couple different folks)
