Master League Online Thread (PES 2012)

Don't know if anyone else is playing this, but I am. It is pure addiction. I have probably played about 75 games or so, I am playing coach mode.

I love coach mode because I can play games when I am not even in the room. Secondarily, it is more difficult to cheese your way to victory. I have seen some crazy things happen.

I am still in Division 5, but I am slowly improving my team. I don't have a super player signed yet, but most of my players are around the 75 overall rating.

I am taking the more patient approach of improving the weakest link of my team, that way I will always improve without breaking the bank. My team philosophy is teamwork.

Last night I made it to the quarter finals of the D5 (Coach Mode) Cup, my best finish so far in PES 2012. Once I reach my replay threshold, I will share Volume One of my Highlight Reel.

That's a good idea. I just cracked into Division 3.

I played a game, the guy quit before it finished, I got no money (though I did get a another transfer), and all of my contracts went down.

I am not happy.

Edit: after my next game, I got a system message warning me about disconnecting. Hilarious. I lost ranking points and apparently my DNF% went up, all because the other guy quit. Looks like I won't be spending much more time in this mode.

It has happened to me as well. Pretty rare though. Never was penalized for it, probably happened to me about 10 times out of 100+ games.

Had fun trying this out for the first time ever last night. Ran into some stacked squads, so it was a tough go in coach mode. Highlight of the night was losing 0-1 with the default team against a highly stacked team consisting of guys like Messi, Eto, Higuan, etc. Frustrated them with my packed midfield standard formation tilted towards more D, holding them to 6 shots on goal, even managing 3 of our own on net, almost equalizing with 5 mins to go.

Will start to build the team today. Hey veterans, is the quick game mode the way to go, or the competitions against your division? I found that quick games hooked me up against too many stacked squads, even with online settings set to similar rank. I would rather build facing teams of similar stature and rank.

Enter cup games when you can. They offer the most money. Even if you lose.

My team building philosophy is when your first players contract expires just cut him and sign someone to replace him. That way your team will get better slowly over time. I prefer having good players at every position than just having s superstar forward.

Can you change your teams kits after you select it? I accidentally selected a teams kits I don't want.
