What do proffesional calibraters do? I have seen it cost $300-$2000 to get it done. Is it something computerized or what?

It's the best movie out, ever. It just doesn't have the best picture, though it should. I'm mad at Warner for touching the EE knob on this transfer. If they didn't, it would be the best, EVER!

I like how people think I'm out to hate on this movie. It's my favorite movie of all time, I'm just disappointed that Warner has botched all of the Blu-rays that I have bought (Ocean's movies, 300, Matrix, etc.).

Anyone can do it. My brother is a computer tech, and he got the same calibration disc that someone posted earlier in this thread. It took us about three hours or so to do it on his rear projection screen, but when it was done, you could see a HUGE difference. I took his disc and used it on my own LCS TV, and got the same result. Both of us use 720p televisions. I haven't seen a professionally calibrated TV, but I doubt it could make that huge of a difference over doing it yourself.

How much do those calibration discs run you?

Man, I wish you had posted this before I plunked down the coin for the Ultimate Matrix Collection. I foolishly trusted the reviewer at HDD who boasted of its "********* five-star video rating," but next time I'll wait for the true test of an image's quality - The Blzer 32" Test.
