Isaiah Rashad announced that Cilvia is going to be an EP, not a mixtape.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

So, I'm a big Slaughterhouse fan. Started listening to them about a couple years ago. It shocked me to hear Budden spit on tracks. My thought was this couldn't be the same guy that dropped "Pump It Up" when I was in high school. Then one of my boys kept telling me to listen to his Mood Muzik mixtape. I thought, "Why the hell would I wanna listen to this same dude who wants to pump it up, now talk about his moods?". He wouldn't let it go, so I listened to his first Mood Muzik yesterday. 3 times. Probably gonna listen at least 3 more times today.

How late to the party am I? Or do people still pass on Budden?

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Finally got to see Cole last night. It was everything I hoped for and more. Awesome show, especially for a really small venue. My only complaint is it took over an hour for the show to actually start from when it was supposed to, but whatever. The show was good enough to make up for it and I'd already waited so long to see him live that another hour wasn't that big of a deal.

Bas opened and held his own. I'm gonna give Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. 2 a download today because there was some tracks he played I've never heard that were pretty nice. Cole also clowned on him telling everyone that when he comes here for a show, just stand there, cross your arms and nod your head but make no noise lol.

Omen also made an appearance. He played something new from his mixtape coming out this year and also played Enchanted which was dope.

When Cole finally did come out he killed it. It was awesome seeing the same guy I listened to pretty much every day of high school and back when it felt like I was the only one who knew who the hell he was (away from the internet obviously) having a packed house chant his name and jam with all his songs. I'd say it was probably 60-40 casuals to diehard fans, maybe a little less, judging by the people who knew the words to Lights Please. That's probably about the norm for a lot of concerts though.

He also took a couple requests but it only turned into Let Nas Down, Who Dat, and Higher. I was hoping to hear some more tracks from Friday Night Lights and The Warm Up, and even a song or two from The Come Up but I get that he has to push a lot of the songs from Born Sinner plus play the ones with the widest appeal. It was funny because he even touched on that at one point in the show saying "some nights I come to a show, see the crowd knows every word to every song and feel like Jay-Z. Other nights I come to a show and feel like J-Kwaan".

All in all, the show was ****ing awesome and I hope whenever the next album/tour comes up that he comes back to Winnipeg. There's no way I'm not getting front row/floor level seats if he does.

Oh yeah, I also got shouted out near the end of the show ("I see you up there in the Dreamville shirt") so that was pretty cool.

Here's the best pictures I was able to get. Part of me wishes I had one of those expensive *** Nikon cameras. These will do though.

I also got a clip of She Knows.

Spoiler

You're extremely late on that one.
