Re: What movies have you seen recently?

I enjoyed Kidulthood and Adulthood, so I just watched Anuvahood thinking it was a continuation of the series. I was disappointed to find out that Noel Clark didn't have anything to do with this one. The movie was watchable but it was far from being good. It felt like a British ripoff of Friday. There were a few scenes that I thought were funny, but overall it was just alright.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

The GF and I watched Man on a Ledge last night. It was a pretty decent movie overall and definitely had way more to do than just a guy on a ledge. I liked that the story kept a bit of an air of mystery in that it didn't explain everything in an obvious manner. My GF was a little confused about it at first because of that but I caught on to the plot almost from the start.

I only wish Ed Harris' part was more meaty rather than being one note but other than that it was a decent flick.

I give this a 3.5 out of 5

Spoiler

BTW that Hitler's Daughter flick I watched a while ago? pure schlock and the ending was one of the most unsatisfactory endings to anything i've seen in a LOOONG time. Still I like crap sometimes

Friends With Benefits

Pretty okay film. The title says it all, and the outcome is all but expected... but Timberlake and Kunis are two good looking, relatively young actors who can fill the void for two hours while appearing to live out the same kinds of lives that we do on an everyday basis. You pray that they won't be with anyone else.

Is No Strings Attached a similar kind of movie?

Sherlock Holmes 2 Game A Game of Shadows-8.7

The movie started out very well and then somewhat slow but picked right back up. The Robert is amazing as Sherlock, he plays the role so well, it sort of reminds of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Both characters so Ionic in their own way.

Having his arch nemesis James Moriarty was awesome, someone who could go toe to toe with Holmes on an intellectual level was awesome. Yet I felt like he could of been done better. The overall story wasn't the most creative thing ever but it was fine.

I just hope that if there's a Third one, they give Moriarty a bit more thought.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

21 Jump Street - I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was clever, but not too smart and really never tried to a movie that it wasn't. Pretty funny all around and while I probably wouldn't run to see this again, I don't have a problem recommending it to people.

Cabin in the Woods - I loved this. Anybody who is a fan of any of Joss Whedon's work needs to see this as his stamp is on damn near everything. I loved the set-up and loved watching it unfold. Will buy on blu-ray the day of release.
