Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

Sold my 48" CX it wasn't working out for me as a monitor and was using it as my Living room TV. I upgraded to the CX 55" which is now in my living room and I'm very happy now, was going to go 65" but that is to big for my space I have.

Trying to decide between the 77" LG OLED and the 65". The difference is $1300.

Is it worth it?

If you have the space and money, go all out. If not 65" would be great as well.

I had the same debate and went with the 65 inch for me the main reason was bc in a few years If I want to upgrade TVs again the 77 won’t work in my bedroom. Also my space isn't super big and the 65 was still a upgrade in side from my previous tv. If you plan on keeping it for a while and have the space you won’t be disappointed with the bigger one. Even if $ isn’t a issue 1,300 is enough to upgrade your surround sound system are something. I also thought the 65 took some of the pressure off of being the perfect tv for like 6 years.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread

A lot changes in a few hours.

I have committed to a 75" tv but the TCL 6 series mini LED has entered the chat. Their 75" model is 1400, that makes it almost 2000 cheaper than the OLED.

At this size, I am hoping for this tv to last me at least through this generation of consoles. Living in a walk-up in Brooklyn makes it difficult to move large pieces of furniture.

When's that next pandemic check coming?

It’s also way different in picture quality.
