I'm about to purchase a HDTV 32' inch Lcd 720p. My question is there any big difference between the 720p and 1080p on only a 32 inch screen???

No. I have a 42" 720p and I can't tell the difference between it and my brothers 50" 1080p in the other room(same line of Panasonic plasmas). The general rule I have heard is 50" and under you can't tell the difference when sitting a normal amount if way. Some people might say 42" for that rule, but 32" is definitely in that category.

If it's a money issue go 720p.

Yeah for a 32 inch screen, you really not going to notice a difference at all despite what people say. Not worth the money at all for 1080p on a tv smaller then 46 inches.

You'll notice if you plan on doing any gaming or bluray movie watching. If not, and you're just watching HD TV, then no, there won't be a difference, as television broadcasts only come through in 720p/1080i.

At that size, unless you're close enough that your nose can touch the screen (ok, maybe not that close...) then 720p is just fine.

Only reason you'd go 1080p in that size is if you're using it as a monitor and need to ready extremely small print. In this case, the extra resolution MIGHT help.

Obviously, if the price is the same or there is negligible difference then you go 1080p

This really helped me out a lot as well. We're looking into getting a new TV, but according to the chart, the viewing distance in our living room doesn't even begin to bring the effects of 1080p in with the size of TV I want. I'll save the extra cash and get a nice set of surround sound speakers or something with it.

Most people forget about the sound. That is half the equation. A nice surround system is needed to complete the home theater experience.
