I am kind of thinking of moving my setup into an ITX build. ITX is so nice and compact that I would just need a case and a new mobo.

Depending on how long you may want to wait to upgrade... Since form factor is a big thing for you (and it actually will be for my next build as well) you may want to wait and see about pricing and all that jazz on the steam boxes.

I'm waiting for gddr4 RAM supported motherboards to drop sometime next year before upgrading..currently using a 1366 i7 (ancient) on the x58 chipset (miserable). This will also get me away from the ****ty marvell sata controller i have on my current board.

It shouldn't be super expensive to upgrade since I'll only need a board/cpu/ram..might spring for a better case as my current one has horrible wire management options.

Meh, I don't do pre-built systems no matter even if its a Steam Machine. Last time I bought pre-built was about 6-7 years ago out of pure laziness, but always built my own. I like to have full control over my system and I swap parts in and out all the time.

If I stay with mATX, I'll probably go with a Silverstone SG09/10 since its one of the smaller mATX cases. If I do go mITX, I'll go for that Node 304.

You really have to know what you're doing to build your own though.

Im studying CompTia A+ right now and I see so many processors that Intel and AMD went through its crazy

After 3 hours of transferring everything over, this case is awesome but a darn nightmare if you aren't using a smaller PSU with the shorter cables. I can't properly close the sides with this PSU, so I'll be sending this HX750 off to ebay and gonna order a Silverstone Strider 550W PSU with the PP05 short cable kit.

How is the re-sell market on video cards? I had been thinking about upgrading from my 7870.

Pretty reliable and stable, you can always find high school and college kids looking to upgrade on the cheap. So lets say you paid $200 for a card, you can easily sell it for for around $150. Put it up on ebay, you will find some buyers, just don't expect somebody to pay full price for a used card.
