I understand what you were going for. That's why I honestly tried to answer but it's just not possible (for me anyway). I'd rather just wait and see what happens if anything.

I don't know if this has been posted or if I'm just too optimistic, but maybe VC isn't saying anything about their game because they don't want EA to use of copy anything... You know both companies have taken good aspects from each others game and implemented it... Perhaps VC doesn't want EA to do this, when they release their generic game?

989 sports is creating a generic football game, I love it!

Please follow suit VC, don't let EA get off without a fight!

Re: Whats stopping them(VC) Now

You guys have to relize that not everyone visits meassage boards..

Most hardcore gamers visit messageboards so that means about 300-400 of us appeal as Hardcore on this site.

Now that is only a LITTLE bit of fanbase to one company and to think VC,T2,UBISOFT are going to cater to 400 people are crazy.

Im not trying to bring this whole topic down but you really have to think about this. Why would VC/T2 make a game only for 400 people without the NFL licenese?

Wouldnt make much sense since they would lose more money then they would gain off of profit. How would they appeal to the casual fan who wants NFL football and not a generic football title?

Re: Whats stopping them(VC) Now

In response to that post, for the most part I agree with you. With that said, many have made good points that you may have missed in that a goal of 10% of 2k5 sales is 200,000 sales which could make the effort worth it. I wouldn't be surprised either way they go (or don't go I guess), I just think people are allowing themselves to be convinced of some things that aren't going to happen. I know they'll say "I'm just hoping" but you can see the response to the Madden commercial to see how it really works.
