Blitz proved you could develop a game w/o a license.... that's all. Not many people bought that crap. Go to your local EB Games and ask their managers if you don't believe me. I assure you it was a dissapointment. It was too "mature" for the youth and too over the top for the people who like straight-up football.

Yes but it still didn't fail.

And for first try without a license it wasn't half bad.

I will have to put my hat in the camp with people saying a new game is coming. Ok I know this is a stretch here but if you look at the straps on the helmets they are all hanging over the cabinet as if they have just been used or are being used frequently. In my opinion these helmets would have long been put away or at least pushed further back on the cabinet with the straps out the way if they haven't been used since work on NFL 2K5.

.....then again the cabinet could be filled with shoulder pads and various other football gear and hasn't been touched since NFL 2K5 and the last thing they did was put the helmets up there and that "crime scene" hasn't been touched since.

They have those helmets there incase Derek Jeter or any other big name athlete wants to wear them during the motion capture. Notice that they have 3 helmets on top of the locker. They have 3 just incase one helmet is ither to small or to large for there guest to wear. Perfectly logical explaination to all of this. Don't get too excited about a new football game release. I still think that VC can go back and release a new version of NFL2K5. They still have the rights to the game. They can go back, re-edit it for improved graphics and gameplay, presentation and so forth. Then re-release it to the general public with added improvements such as the option to load "gamer-created" roster updates to import into the game itself, such as we are all doing here anyway. Somebody really needs to get this to VC...with such a demand for another 2K football title, they could really make a killing!
