I don't remember but I thought it was between 200-300 million. In fact I think TT used the GTA franchise to mortgage the loan.

Well, now I know what "worst-case scenario" would be. The new marketing slogan could be: "All EA, All The Time".

I'd hope this would NEVER happen though. I don't think I'd be playing anymore sports games, except a handful of older titles.

On the plus side, this investment advisor sounds like an idiot. Take-Two has been through some tough times, but they are mostly behind the company now, and they are 8 months from another MEGA-HIT in GTA4. Why would they sell out 2K Sports?

I'd love to see MS grab 2K if it came down to it, even if just to provide some competition on the 360 and future consoles. It would keep them from being held hostage by whatever demands EA might make, for example: "Cut the royalty fee or you get NO sports games on your Xbox 720".

Also, I see a flood of people from 2K Sports leaving to work for other companies rather than be part of EA, which destroys the value of buying 2K Sports other than to eliminate competition.

After the NFL exclusive deal, and efforts by EA to get the NBA and NHL (also the MLB deal for 2K) it seems like ANYTHING is possible.
