No NFL, NCAA, nor Arena Football…..this game most likely is going to have fictitious league with fictitious teams. I guess imagination is in order here.

-How should the teams be aligned?
For example, I would like to see 3 divisions for each of the 2 conferences, like the previous NFL alignment.

-How about the playoff format?
I like the NBA format of the top 8 teams of each conference get to the playoff.

-Which city will you like to have a team and what would you name the team?

-Will Canadian / Mexican cities be part of this league also?

Feel free to add more....

I imagine the formatting of the league can be customized.

If not... it'll be just like the NFL as for divisions, playoffs, etc.

I want a team in Bangor, Maine and I would call them the Hard....

It had to take a LOT of imagination is in order on their part. I'm thinking:

- 24 or 28 team league; two conferences, 3 divisions w/four teams each(although the OP's suggestion of NBA playoff format is interesting). but allow customization options for those that want to realign

- don't mind if there are nicknames/mascots, but prefer city designation

- NFL rules, except for the nonsense ones (would like to see some taunting long as it's not over the top [think attitude/swagger], perhaps institute varying pass interference penalties as the NFL's thinking of doing, etc.)

- certain cities you have to have teams for (New York, Los Angeles, PITTSBURGH) - can do a mix of city or state for some (Memphis, Florida, Nevada, etc.)

Just saying this for fun obviously - but can only imagine how difficult it is for them to have come up with a fictional league that's compelling

I can't see them changing the current format. 8 Divisions of 4 teams is very convenient from a mathematical/scheduling perspective.

Likewise, I believe that they will give users the opportunity to mimic the NFL experience with some editing capability. Obviously 32 teams would be a requirement for that.

I would like to see them offer some customizing options for setting up a smaller league, but I doubt they will do it. I think it would create some scheduling headaches for the programmers.

Maybe I'm the only one here that feels this way, but at this point, i'm tired of speculating about customizing and everything else. I'm just gonna sit back and wait for the Gameinformer to drop, then at least we can have something to start going by.

It would be nice if they gave us an option to expand the league,retract and move teams to different cities.
