Doing it once will work. The reason you needed to do it twice is because you started with the wrong position (QB). The position you want to be returning punts needs to be done first if you are going to release all the positions. As I mentioned before, here is the order of player positions in the default roster:

CB,DE,DT,FB,FS,G,RB,ILB,K,OLB,P,QB,SS,T,TE,WR,C.

if you released the QB's first then did all the other positions in the same order as above, afterward you list would like this:

QB,CB,DE,DT,FB,FS,G,RB,ILB,K,OLB,P,SS,T,TE,WR,C.

Releasing and resigning just the QBs the second time would make the list look like this:

CB,DE,DT,FB,FS,G,RB,ILB,K,OLB,P,SS,T,TE,WR,C,QB

aside: Finn is this something that is being coded currently & will be posted in a new editor in the coming weeks, or is it coming quite far down the line? (eg March, after the draft, over the summer, next season etc)

Awesome work Finn. Just one question - does the re-assigning reset player contracts as if you were to release and assign players in-game or does everything just stay the same except the order?

^do contracts even get reset using Dwevans method? i wouldnt think so since you are assigning them back to the same team

depth charts stay the same i know
