True, but a computer virus was supposed to wipe out computer systems in 2000, but it never happened. I can only assume that nothing will happen in 2012, and that the Mayan calendar will continue with its cycle.

Y2k was a bug not a virus and it was fixed that's why it never happened. They made a way to get the full year (4 digits) so that it could rollover to the year 2000. Previously the computers only grabbed 2 digits for the year ('89). It still affected a few computer systems that didn't get the fix.

Actually by December 2012 it will be Madden 13 and not Madden 12. Madden 12 will be released in 2011...

Haha this has gone in an odd direction. Seems right we wont have 2k for the rest of our life.... Seems to fit with an end of world thorey... and the phrase "you wont see 2k football again in you lifetime"..... lmao

I know its not a serious discussion but i just wanted to add that the Mayans were not the only ones to have that thoery with that date(or similar) In case anyone actually cares. Just passin info i hear.
