I feel the same way. I don't want to get excited until I know for sure it is going to happen. I am worried that it is a prank or a unfunded project for now.

Weird, why mention NHL2k11 for the Wii and not NBA2K11 for ps3 and 360. But anyway, if this an actual "working title" they must add replay value and longevity but incorporating a Franchise mode with a draft and some form of combine. I don't follow CFL so I'm not sure if that would be fiction based or not. But I don't think any true 2K football fan would care if 2K created a fictional CFL Draft and Combine along w/ 2K Football Tonight, that replaces sportcenter. All we want is a game that we can play for years to come. A lack of a franchise is the reason my APF doesn't get much play these days.
