running game

is it me, or in the demo, does it seem a little weird when you try to turn with your running back....like, you'll be cutting through a hole in the line and then try to avoid the linebacker by running right a little, and it seems like the player slows down a lot. I know in the previous versions of the game, you can be pretty much at full speed and turn in whatever directions but when i was trying to turn in the demo, it seemed like it just slowed down a lot...

is this just a change that VC has made or was that a flaw in the running game that will be different in the final copy

Re: running game

I've found that if you juke to where you want to turn you lose less speed than if you just turn for instance cutting to the outside rather than turning hopefully that helps.

Re: running game

ok thanks sketcher

oh by the way, it's not momentum, the slowing down that im talking about is like the player slowing down while still making a very sharp turn....whatever, it's ok with me, just different

Oh sorry man, i know what you mean now. Are you holding the charge button down while moving, because i noticed that your runner will move slower.

Re: running game

Sometimes when I try to run. The player just slows down to walking speed for some reason. It's not just the running backs either. It happens on returns and sometimes if I to run with a quarterback.

Are you holding down the "Charge button" while running? If so, your runner will lose speed in exchange for better special moves, a/k/a the chain system

Re: running game

It has nothing to do with the chain reaction. They slow down to a walk. When this happens and I try to hold turbo nothing happens.
