I think you misunderstand how it works. He is supposed stay inside, but he's slightly to the left instead of the right.

it's not playmaker (we might as well be clear since we're talking about FBs running inside instead of outside) it's just reversing the play. Just like last year you audible then reverse the play. the only difference is this year the players don't move. So if you have a RB diving up the middle and you reverse the play, guess what? yep, he's still diving up the middle.

This feature was available for NFL2k3 as well.

True however the blocking scheme changes to the reverse side. So if its a trap strong side and you reverse the play it will now go weak side
