I unlocked a couple of legend players and they were released into the free agent pool. I already started my franchise so I thought the game would release them into the ohter free agent pool and not the one in my franchise. I had the play the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game and they had Michael Irvin on their team. What is up with that? I unlocked Walter Payton and I got an e-mail telling me a team picked him up.

I don't mind them being available in the main free agent pool but my Franchise free agent pool should be for people playing now. Not someone who is over the hill, ain't playing anymore or even dead (#34 R.I.P.). Walter Payton is my favorite player but I don't want him released into my franchise's free agent pool.

I take it nobody else has this problem of have a problem with it. It kind of ruin it a little for me having to play teams with ringers.

There was a thread about this earlier dont know where it is though. the only thing you can do is unlock all of them before you start you franchise and edit thier ratings to where you want them. or you can start another franchise and change one the play sliders and that will disable them from being unlocked. Since you have already started your franchise i dont think there is anything you can do. i dont know why they have it set up like that. anyways hope this helps.

from what ive read at gamefaqs there are some other characters hidden but i dont think youre going to have to worry about it since one of them requires you to get 200 career sacks....

Just adjust a slider... even if it's one slider to the left or right... that will disable the unlocking of any hidden characters *i believe*

It will. Once you adjust a slider...your settings become labeled as "Custom" Thus disabling the hidden characters since they require slider settings be at pro, all-pro or legend.

Yeah but wouldn't adjusting the sliders stop other things from being unlocked if it stops the legends from being unlocked?
