EA comments on the $20.00 price tag

Just saw this over at the TeamXbox boards, not sure if this'll be deleted or what, but here's what EA had to say about the new ESPN price:

Quote:

In the San Jose Mercury News' item on the price cut, Jeff Brown, EA's VP of corporate communications, was quoted as saying, "Sounds like they're throwing in the towel. They're signaling to consumers, retailers and the NFL that they are no longer selling a premium product."

close to the same comment when they had the gamespot LIVE from EA office thing last thursday. Video Game marketing is almost just like politics sometimes.

I think that line is the other way around...when we wanna get down to the nitty gritty and be honest with one another.

He sounds like a confident marketing executive, as he should be. Putting your product up for 20 dollars is pathetic.

Not that I really care, but how does a guy like RubeRanter get a 5 star rating? If that's what it takes, can someone knock my OS rating down to 1 star please.
