ESPN NFL 2k5 release date 7-15

If it was 7-15, then this was the last Football Friday. They haven't even covered online play yet, and the Crib Q+A would be pointless because the game would be out by the time the questions were anwsered.

If you ask any local gamestops they will tell you it is coming out on the 21st but in it normally ships on the 20th if the trucks are on time. And normally, since the demand is so high for this such game, they release it on the 20th. It happened last year with Madden. They called all of us up their telling us that their trucks were coming in 2 days early so that we could get the game that night. Didn't mind waiting in line for 3 hours waiting until 1030... it was sweet, but this year will be more sweet.

No, going Gold means they sent the Gold Master CD off to the duplicators for printing so that they can begin the production run on the discs.

ESPN releases 7/20. It's possible a store will have it a day or so sooner, but the 15th? Uh-uh.

EA has been hyping 8/12 in it's marketing materials. In this regard, EA is nothing if not consistent. Expect it no sooner than 8/12, and don't expect "street" to get broken by very many places.
