Thank you! I was getting a little tired of the Vick doesn't run stuff. If you flush him and he sees a lane, he gone! He's not just going to take off just for the hell of it. Put some pressure on him and see what happens.

If you are so enamored with Madden, please explain your reasoning for staying on the ESPN board.

I have both games. I will play ESPN primarily. But when I need a change of pace, I will play Madden.

I don't get into franchise anymore since the inception of XBOX Live. So if that is Madden strongest trait it really does nothing for me then.

But again it is a matter of preference.

Man...considering all that trouble you went through to try and fix/cure espn's franchise flaws by using Paul Taglibue Mode and dubbing it a "Franchise-get-to-knower"....IMO you'd likely have been blown away by the depth of Madden's franchise. In Madden's franchise, though you only control one team...it is literally impossible for you NOT to know everything....and I mean EVERYThing about every team and player in the league.

Also, for those who gripe about ESPN's menu navigability, Madden's PDA system is a thing of beauty. I've never seen such massive amounts of information made so easily accessible. I've had the game for about 4 days now and just yesterday discovered I could view COMPLETE box scores and team/player stats from every game played during the week. VC should take note of this for nfl2k6.

Anyway, baa7, If you ever get the chance man I highly recommend you rent Madden at least to checkout the franchise features and test the gameplay which is actually deeper than what most here seem willing to give it credit for.

It's amazing that his "blog" had an effect on you... sad, really. ESPN's cheerleader's were scary last year... (but then again, Madden's ARE really scary this year.. lol)

Also, as much as I started knocking EA in the past, they've stepped it up. It seems like people think it's cool to knock EA... why, I have no idea.

While I believe these games shouldn't be released that way, the fact is, they are... and the games are still enjoyable for the most part. And they DO address them in someway shape or form. They only thing they didn't address was O-Rebounds on Live... but that's b/c they claimed it would have taken a huge rewrite of the code... (Again, so they say...)

It's not like in 2002, where all their games were just TRASH... they've made a turnaround... thanks to the increase in competition.

There you have it.. from Kanobi, who last year was a HUGE supporter of ESPN, IMHO... I played ESPN more, but would have liked Madden had it not been so damn offensive minded... ESPN's running game last year was a joke without player momentum.

I'm enjoying ALL the games this year... but some of the flack fans of one game are giving the other is truly sad... you guys are the ones missing out, not us.

I don't care if god is playing Madden.I just rented Madden and I really didn/t want to knock this game.I played eight games to try to get used to the controls but the truth is this game felt horrible.I think it all started when I turned on the game on my 65 inch widescreen tv.The graphics looked bad.I must be used to espn because the lack of a true running control killed it for me,there is just no way to break tackles,The hitting was very generic and the lack of hate to say it presentation was a downer.I will keep playing it until I have to return it but I will not be buying this game.I would love for someone to tell me what is it that I'm supposed to like about Madden with out naming franchise.No disresect to you Kanobi but I found this game very weak
