Espns franchise modes is severly lacking in polish.
aside from the trades which was mentioned earlier the GM ai for all non user controlled teams is all out of wack. Teams never draft anthing but WR, RB, DE and T in the first round which leads to a good 20 plus teams basiccally wasting their first round picks.
Player progression is erratic and doesnt seem to have any sensible logic to it.
The schedules hardly change from year to year , you almost always end up playing 14 of the 16 games over and over every year.
The only thing ESPN has is the weekly prep and even that isnt very well done,
This is not to mention Maddens franchise features (owner mode, storyline central) and though the lack of these features dont kill the game they do murder its franchise mode
