It appears I was partially right about the UNK Variables

It seems that this UNK does effect progression. The only problem is that it doesn't work on everyone like expected. I think that is where the other UNK variables come into play. For example I made everyone on the Falcons UNK 0, Eagles UNK 1, Chargers UNK 2, and Dolphins UNK 3. Then I simulated a franchise for one year. After a year the players on the Falcons went up a lot more than usual and no one went down. Vick jumped to 92(using most recent online rosters with the unk edits only), Hall the FS went up to 97, Dunn went to 87, and Kearney went to 97. The other teams weren't as conclusive but the Dolphins players did go down quite a bit compared to what they usually do when I play with them. Their tackle: Wade Smith who starts out a 72 and usually goes up to a 74 next season dropped to a 79. Zach Thomas who usually drops to a 92 dropped to an 83 from a 95. The Eagles players didn't go up or down for the most part. The Chargers were a bit wierd though. Tomlinson went up to a 98, Brees went down to an 85 from an 86, Gates went up to a 93, while Mccardell went down to a 73. That is the result that wierded me out.

Anyways here is the roster I used. Test some stuff out as well if you like.

Good work! I've been wondering what that field is used for. I think a few more tests are needed before we can say for certain. Maybe I can run my own set of tests simialr to what you did and see if my resutls agree with yours.

What I'd really like to find is what causes teams to assign Manning, McNabb, and Stroud as punt returners.

I think that is every OL and DL 70 and up but I may be wrong.

I don't think so because I know Simeon Rice is over 70 is not included...
