I recognize that I tend to overvalue my guys (most people do) so I don't disagree with you on that but keep in mind that we get return yardage as well and I'm targeting trade partners with a big need at RB and a surplus at a position that I need. In the trade that you're talking about, Sproles has about 40 pts more on the season than his 2nd best RB (Mathews) and nearly double his 3rd guy (Mendenhall) when using our scoring system.

In trade 2, the guy's in even worse shape at RB and has 3 100-pt WRs and Roddy White. MJD is 30 pts behind Sproles and that's his best RB.

Trade 3 is admittedly reaching too high but the guy needs a QB bad as he has played Ponder, Pryor, and Eli in the last 3 weeks since Cutler went down. Since Kaepernick's crapfest on Sunday, he'd have to really be hoping for some upside there, or be overvaluing Sproles even more than I am. Even then, that guy has McCoy and 5 guys that are backup RB or on the wrong side of a timeshare situation. I may inquire about that offer but only if something happens with Trade 1.

So, in a vacuum, I am likely overvaluing Sproles. But doing that ignores the supply-and-demand aspect of my trade ideas, doesn't it?

Re: Official Trade Talk Thread

I'm in a non-PPR league, and I have Stevan Ridley. I was just offered Ray Rice and Trent Richardson for him. What do you think?

Obviously, it comes down to whether or not Vereen will take away alot of touches from Ridley, and whether or not Rice or Richardson can turn it around.

Edit: Also, for what it's worth, I already have Matt Forte, Fred Jackson, and Maurice Jones-Drew, and I can start 4 running backs (2 RB and 2 Flex)

The return yards do make a HUGE difference. I still like the first trade.

Re: Official Trade Talk Thread

In an 8 team league
Sending: Drew Brees and Harry Douglas
Receive: Matt Forte and Phillip Rivers
I love Drew Brees but my running backs are weak so I think Forte would help a lot. Thoughts?
