Love it. I actually have first 3 games in the books. I just need to get time to finish posting my roster and then get grinding.. At this point I am not sure what I want to do with Coach Scott.. The roster is loaded and I can't imagine it changing anytime soon, so it's basically to the point of scheduling 4 Top-25 programs out of conference every year or take a job downgrade and leave, which doesn't make alot of sense.

Not ready to build another yet? I still haven't gotten the game. Might not get this year's. I've been reading a lot about it, and I am probably going to hold out for next year's. I have myself playing 14, though. lol

The Coach Carousel needs some major changes either in a update or in next year's game for sure.

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25

IN DEPTH LOOK AT THE ROSTER

QUARTERBACK

RS JR Freddie Vildor (90) is QB1
"The former 5* swept the ESPY's in 2032 including the Heisman after throwing for 4850 yds 53 TD's 12 INT, and rushing for 466 yds and 9 scores as a Freshman (including playoff stats). Despite throwing for almost as many yards (4837) the TD/INT ration just wasn't there last season (42/28) despite a similar completion % (64 vs 62). One thing that Vildor needs to do is figure out a way to cut down on the sacks (41 as a FR and 32 last year)."

RS SO Junior Tu'ikolovatu (79) takes over as QB2.
Another former 5*, "JT" didn't see the field last season despite being active for all 17 games.

RS FR Raekwon Segal (76) redshirted last year and will take on QB3 this year as a active player.

(R) FR Curtis McFadden (78) will redshirt this year. The 5* Recruit from Lafayette had options for schools where he could've been a instant starter but instead we will see if he can beat out JT and Segal for the chance to take over QB1 from Vildor when he leaves.

(R) FR Garrison Lewis (75) will also redshirt this season. The former 4* was a Athlete out of high school who like current starting TE Ramon Barboa could see a position switch in order to make it onto the field here at TTU.

RUNNINGBACK

RS SR N. Morton (98)
- The former 4* returns in hopes of putting together a complete season well making a push at his own Heisman before leaving Lubbock.

RS JR Sean Byham (90)-The former 5* will look to take on more PT with JJ Robert leaving for the NFL, but TTU still has some talent behind him pushing him for carries and different roles in the offense.

RS FR Nico Souza (87) Is also a former 5* who is coming off a redshirt season looking for a way to make a impact. Reports are he will start probably on special teams taking over Robert's role there.

RS JR Jaylen Kalu (86) was rumored to be looking at the transfer portal but instead stays. The former 4* has seen limited action the past 2 seasons (13 carries for 107 yds with 2 TD's.)

(R) FR Rashadd Holiday (79) Last year's #1 Overall and a 5* Recruit, Holiday will redshirt this season with the expectations of pushing Souza for the starting role once Morton/Byham leave.

FULLBACK

RS SR Spencer Bostic (83). A converted TE, Bostic has been the team's starting FB for the past 2 seasons. He has seen even less action then Kalu with just 3 career rushes for 16 yds.

RS FR Ezekiel Warmack (75). A former 5* RB who moved to FB will join the active roster and unlike Bostic could actually carve out a role as the team's goal line back stealing some touchdowns from Morton/Byham.

WIDE RECEIVER

RS SR Rico Hatfield (85) returns for his final season. The former 5* posted his 2nd season with 90 receptions and led the team with 1441 yds with 14 TD. For his career he has 240 receptions with over 4000 yds and 50 TD's. He is already the Big 12 leader in TD's and will look to add the National record to his name as well. He is also TTU's leader in both yards and TD's

RS JR Felix Addison (87) returns as the teams true #2 with Brian Head off to the NFL. Addison has posted 112 rec for 1787 yds with 18 TD's the past 2 seasons, showcasing his abilites to be a major playmaker in this offense.

RS SO Craig Smythe (86), is another former 5* who showed how good he could be last year as the team's #5 WR he recorded 15 rec for 320 yds (21.3 avg) with 5 TD's.

RS FR Carl Chunn (82) Another former 5* and #10 Overall in his class (like Hatfield), Chunn is the tallest WR on the team at 6'5. He will be the team's #4 this year and could be a nice redzone target.

RS SO DaShaun Riggins (83), RS FR Tye Tompkins (77), RS FR Ben Magna (77) and RS FR Isaac Trapp (76)
are all vying for that #5 WR spot. Riggins has a leg up having spend time as a active player last year well the other 3 are all coming off their redshirt season.

(R) FR Dennis Erving (74) and (R) FR Rick Kumar (70) will both redshirt..

TIGHT END

RS JR Ramon Barbosa (84), the former QB/Athlete had a solid season as the team's #1 TE posting 41 rec for 654 yds and 5 TD.

JR Deontae Levine (83).
The former Duke player came over via the Portal. He posted 39 rec for 485 yds and 3 TD's last year for the Blue Devils and could push Barbosa for some time as TE1

RS SO Dell Paxton (78) and RS FR Donald Chancey (79) will push each other for a chance at some PT. Paxton did post 5 rec for 35 yds last year as the team's TE2.. Chancey could also move to FB with S. Bostic graduating this year.

O-LINE

Last season TTU started 5 Seniors on the O-Line.. This year they will have just 1.

RS SR Jason Clemens (84) takes over protecting Vildor's Blindside, but that doesn't mean this unit isn't loaded with talent.

RS SO Kona Hautau (87) and RS JR Lamont Marvin (91) will man the guards, well RS SO Devin Carraway (79) takes over at RT and RS SO Juan Kumah (85) takes over at Center.

RS JR Dillion Virgin (84) ),RS FR Keyna Sowells (83), and RS FR Nick Longoria (75) provide quality depth at Tackle allowing 5* Recruit Fetu Butt (79) to redshirt

RS JR BJ Morrissey (82) RS FR Fianu Aaitui (79), RS FR Adrian Marshall (81) and RS FR Melvin Watt (80) are all available backups at Guard allowing 5* Recruit Ryan Gentry (74) to also redshirt.

RS SO Emeka Yeboah (82) and RS JR Frederick Browning (81) are the backup Centers.

Coach Scott
Quote:
"I feel really good about our O-Line, well they obviously didn't get alot of snaps last year, I believe this unit will be just as good as our unit last year that helped pave the way for the #1 Offense for a 2nd straight season."
D-LINE
RS SR Kevin Zuber (89) and RS SR Antwan Allgeier (91) are 2 of the Best DE's in the country, but both players have seen time on the IR and if that does happen then TTU fan's and the country will get a chance to see a slew of 5* Recruits waiting for their chance to impress.

RS FR'S Kenyone Canaday (81), Alex Mathis (82), Jesus Castillo (84) and Calvin Dalton (79) provide exciting depth and future starters, well 5* Luis Crummey (79) will redshirt this season

RS SO Kyle DeMulling (88) had a great spring and is ready to take over the starting DT spot well RS SR Quatavious Rozeboom (86) will join him when TTU uses 4 D-lineman

Former 5* Recruits RS FR Earl Turbin (85) and former #1 Overall Recruit Gordon Teamer (81) are waiting in the wings ready to contribute well 5* Recruits Ben Johnson (79) and Devaunte Finger (77) will Redshirt.

Coach Scott
Quote:
"It's pretty hard not to think this is probably the Best and most talented D-LIne in the country. We have finished with over 50 sacks the past 2 seasons and I see no reason why this unit won't hit that # again"
LINEBACKERS

TTU loses 2 starters from the unit but RS JR John Cushenberry (88) and Illinois Transfer RS JR Tyrone Bettis (85) appear ready to take over. Bettis had 65 Tackles with 4 TFL and 1.5 sacks last season after posting 38 Tackles and 8 sacks as a Freshman.

RS JR Gideon Adebo (94) Returns after flirting with the NFL draft and is ready to duplicate his 100+ tackle performance he had last season.

RS Soph's Angel Childs (78) and Joshua Alli (84) will provide backup on the outside well Freshman Elton Pope (76), Chad Franz (79) and Javier Nicholson (78) will all redshirt.

RS SO Chester Rutter (84) will backup Bettis, along with fellow RS SO Cameron Elias (81) well 5* Recruit Jimmy Walker (82) will redshirt.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

RS SO Teddy Beckford (88) takes over as CB1, well RS SR Jose Bias (84) will be starting on the opposite side as CB2.

RS SO Ceasar Flores (84) is the primary backupwell a trio of RS Freshman Miguel Trevino (79), Manuel Crespo (78) and John Masifilo (78) provide quality depth.

5* Recruits, Amir Stockton (79), Deonte Shakir (79) and Channing McLennan (77) will all
redshirt.

RS SO Javon Proche (85) takes over as the teams starting FS, with 5* Recruit Jaylen Swaim (79) the only active true freshman this season as the primary backup. RS SO Bryce Kenyon (77) will also provide depth well fellow 5* Recruit Miles Spiegel (78) will redshirt.

Former RB RS SR Ben Martini (87) returns as the starter. RS JR Shawn Loudermilk (84) will be the backup and most likely starter when TTU goes with 5 DB's Fellow RS JR Tyler Rios (81) provides quality depth well 4* recruit Elton Crum (76) will redshirt.

SPECIAL TEAMS.

RS SO Jimmy Chosen (74) will the the team's primary place kicker with the graduation of DK Khaled, well FR Bradley Haywood (68) takes over punting duties with the graduation of Eric Covington.

(Player Overall, before buffs)

Re: The Making of a Legend. The Career of Coach Scott CF25

Do you use a lot of sub packages to get all this talent into game, Deuce? Or is the game limited to how many subscribers you are allowed on each side of the ball? I would just figure that all that talent and if they aren't getting their reps, they would transfer out after the season. Or is the game not set up that way?

To be honest I have really looked into the Sub packages more other then trying to get 2nd string guy's in during the 4th when I have a lead. I do have Fatigue turned up a little more this year hoping that will get some more guy's in, but at the same time turned down injuries a little too because it seems like every year I am losing 5-6 key players for extended amounts of time.

So far I havn't had a single player leave because of Playing time. Typically the response I am seeing from the transfer portal is Playing Style. Like I play a alot of 3-3-5 and 4-2-6 Defense, so for my it's typically LB's that transfer. Or also because I pass alot, I struggled early at BSU with a couple RB's that didn't want to stay.

In game I do scroll through the playbook on players and look for plays for jus them for guy's like Smythe last year who was my #5 WR and got him like 5 TD's early in the season and then sorta forgot about it. I also try and make sure to pick on my #2 RB and get him like 10-15 carries a game, but I should look into getting guy's in more.

I also should and havn't yet take advantage of allowing Freshman to play in 4 games and still redshirt. I thought about in next years schedule putting a low tier team in Week 1 or 2 and play the incoming Freshman and 5* guy's I redshirted the year before because honestly it probably would help them develope more.

RED RAIDERS LOOK LIKE CHAMPS IN WEEK 1

#1 Texas Tech took on #24 UTSA in Week 1 in front of packed house in the Alamodode Dome, looking like a complete unit ready to take on the challenge for another National Title.

GAME RECAP

A early INT by Freddie Vildor gave the Road Runners the (7-3) lead in the 1st Quarter but after that it was all Red Raiders as TTU uses a rushing attack to turn out 33 carries for 212 yds and 4 scores on the day.

TTU would score 2 times early in the 2nd Quarter as Vidlor finds SR WR Rico Hatfield for a pair of scores (25 and 19 yds) well the Defense stepped up picking off SR QB E. Mangold (78), as CB1 Teddy Beckford get hits first INT of the season to set up a 53 yd TD run by SR RB Netori Morton to make it (24-7) at the half.

The 2nd half, TTU opened with the ball and quickly scored on just 5 plays as backup RB Sean Byham breaks a 34 yd run for a touchdown as TTU extends the lead to (31-7).

In the 4th both Byham and the Defense step up again as CB Jose Bias and SE Kevin Zuber both create fumbles leading to a pair of Byham touchdowns as TTU rolls to the victory.

FINAL SCORE TTU-45 UTSA-10

TEXAS TECH ROLLS TIDE!!!

Despite 3 turnover in the 1st half, Texas Tech never trailed in the game as the TTU "D" comes up with 2 INT's in key moments well limiting Alabama to a pair of FG's off their own turnovers.

TTU led (7-6) in the as Vildor once again throws 2 early INT's but the TTU Defense steps up holding Alabama to a pair of Field Goals.

Despite a fumble by RB Netori Morton in the 2nd Quarter, Texas Tech still managed to put up 17 points in the final 4 minutes of the half as TTU picks off JR QB Q. Allgeier (82 ovr) twice including a "Pick 6" INT by SR SS Ben Martini.

Martini showed off his former RB skills as he takes the INT 106 yds to the house for the score leaving 42 seconds to play in the half and then it was RS FR Miguel Trevino coming up with his first career INT to set up a 62 yd scoring strike from Vildor to to Rico Hatfield as TTU scores twice in the final 56 seconds of the half.

Leading (24-13) coming out of the locker room, TTU wasted little time extending the lead to 31-13 as Vildor and Hatfield hook up again his time from 50 yds out giving the Duo 4 TD's in the first 2 games.

Alabama would cut the lead to (31-19) after Allgerier finds SR RB K. Azur (89 ovr) out of the backfield for a 9 yd score, but the Tide miss the 2pt play trying to make it a 10 point game.

Alabama would manage to cut the lead to (31-26) as backup SR RB S. Canaday (85 ovr) punches in a 6 yd score, but TTU answers back with Netori Morton's 2nd Rushing score of the day with less then 2 minutes to play in the game after causing Alabama to burn all 3 of their timeouts.

Alabama RB Kyree Azur finished the day with 23 carries for 141 yds, well adding 23 yds through the air including the 9 yd TD in the loss.

FINAL SCORE TEXAS TECH-38 ALABAMA-26

KEY PLAYERS

QB F Vildor-14/26 (53%) 315 yds 2 TD 2 INT
RB N. Morton-16 carries 65 yds 2 TD
RB S. Byham-11 carries 49 yds, 1 rec 19 yds
FB E. Warmack-1 carry 15 yds

WR F. Addison-1 rec 26 yds
WR C. Chunn-1 rec 47 yds

Vildor still hasn't shook the pick bug, but it hasn't hurt you yet. Bama tried to make a game of it late though.

I bumped up my fatigue too in an effort to get more guys in the game and also try and make sure all of the sub players on defense (DE/DT/LB/CB) are dfferent than the typical starters so the defensive line gets more rotation
