Raiola & Co Come Up Just Short In Los Angeles
Jamil Muhammad saved the day in The Coliseum, fighting through Nebraska tight end Thomas Fidone II to pick off Raiola and set up O'Neal's 2nd touchdown of the day to give the Trojans a needed 14 point cushion with just 3 minutes left.

LEFT - Blown coverages were a continual problem for USC in this contest, giving up 3 touchdowns of 40+ yards in the win.
CENTER - #Branch4Heisman. With yet another monstrous performance, which he makes seem routine at this point, Branch stands alone in the NCAA record books and still has two more games to add to his historic season.
RIGHT - For all Zachariah Branch did in this game, he could have had more. Twice Nebraska corner Tommi Hill intercepted passes intended for Branch, one in the endzone as Branch was looking to set the NCAA record.
Los Angeles, CA. - While no one in the Trojans program said it aloud, the prevailing through in Los Angeles this week was that the Trojans had their eyes set on next weeks Victory Bell matchup with crosstown rival UCLA.
It's safe to say the Cornhuskers heard the noise, nearly stunning the heavily favored Trojans in Los Angeles thanks to 5 touchdowns from true freshman Dylan Raiola.
Both teams would exchange touchdown passes in the first quarter, but after Raiola threw his 2nd of the day Miller Moss would be picked off attempting to match it, leading to a 3rd Cornhuskers touchdown and a 21-7 lead with just under 2 minutes in the half.
Miller Moss would more than make up for that costly mistake, converting two 3rd downs with his legs on the ensuing Trojan drive including a gutsy 16 yard scramble to pull USC within a score.
Instead of resting on their laurels, Nebraska decided to get risky and it did not pay off. Raiola was intercepted with just 24 seconds left and John Humphrey took yet another pick to the house to tie the game at 21.
Nebraska did not blink however, taking the ball and scoring in just 2 plays after Raiola found a wide open Isaiah Neyor sprinting up the sideline to once again put the Cornhuskers up with just 4 seconds left.
4 seconds may not be enough time for most players to score, but for the most electrifying man in collegiate sports, it is more than enough.
Nebraska clearly didn't study film of opposing corners getting burnt to toast in press coverage, deciding to do just that with 4 seconds left and Branch made them pay, setting the NCAA single-season touchdown record in style with a 75 yard half ending score.
After the explosive 42 point 2nd quarter both teams cooled off considerably at the half, exchanging touchdowns in an otherwise routine 3rd.
With just 6 minutes left the Trojans were once again driving, but a promising drive was derailed by Moss' 2nd interception setting up a potential game winning drive and defining moment for Dylan Raiola.
Instead, the Cornhuskers stalled out at midfield and elected to punt on 4th and 3 from USC 49 rather than attempt the risky 4th down.
Moss was not about to squander another chance at leading a game winning drive, marching the Trojans down the field in 9 plays before finding Treyvion O'Neal on a wheel route for the 18 yard go-ahead score.
Southern Cals gameplan had been evident all day, send pressure from all directions to attempt to confuse freshman Dylan Raiola. While Raiola had plenty of success through the air, his two interceptions would prove costly, as he would throw his 2nd of the game down 7 in the 4th quarter on a terrible throw to the tight end on 3rd and long.
While both teams exchanged scores after Jamil Muhammad's interception, it was the pick that turned the tide for the Trojans in what would be a 49-42 victory.
