South Carolina (2-3) At Navy (3-3)

In Their Own Backyard

South Carolina invades Navy's tuft and walks away with a victory, but at a cost. South Carolina lost star tailback Jermaine King. He suffered a torn pectoral muscle and will be out for 5 weeks.

It was a rather dominating performance for South Carolina. Gamecocks had everything going for them.

Navy was allowed inside the Gamecocks 30 yard line once. They also turned the ball over 3 times, including a halfback option pass, which was interception and returned for a touchdown.

Navy’s only score came on a bad option pass, which was picked up by Quincy Jackson and ran back. Navy also missed 3 field goal's from 40 plus yard.

South Carolina (3-3) At #17 Tennessee (3-3)

Close Battle

Tennessee lose in a gut wrenching fashion to the red hot Gamecocks.

Both Offenses just couldn’t keep drives going or even staying on the field. That alone was a big task alone.

All the good action was in the 4th quarter. South Carolina
had 3 field goal trys, 33, 41(both missed badly) and the game winner. A 30 yards with 8 seconds left. The game winning field goal was set up by one of Tony Williamson's 3 picks. Williamson forced a bad pass into double coverage on 3rd and 15.

Game ball goes to Tom Jones CB for South Carolina. 2 interceptions and 5 tackles.

South Carolina will be traveling to Arkansas with a 2 game winning streak, longest of the season.

Re: Week 9 Overview

This is good, but you have alot of typos/grammar mistakes that make it annoying to read sometimes.

South Carolina (4-3) At Arkansas (2-5)

Rough Road

South Carolina humbled 34-18 point loss in Fayetteville.

South Carolina looked like they were still in the hang over phase, after their big win over Tennessee. Arkansas saw it and took full advantage of it and put up a touchdown on the first drive. After that, Arkansas just kept going. Never looking back. Arkansas had a 20 point led at half time.

The final score makes it look closer than it really was. The Gamecocks score 15 points in the last 3 minutes of the game, on Arkansas's 2nd stringers.

This was the first conference win for Arkansas. They improve to 3-5 (1-4) and will take on #10 Ole Miss.

Gamecocks fall to 4-4 (3-4) and are back to .500. After a great 2 game win streak. Gamecocks have the #17 Florida Gators (5-3) coming to town next week.
