Note: I don't know why the tables are messed up, but they always seem to have problems when I used my brothers laptop. Anyway. I'm hoping to play the Minnesota game today so I will be posting the preview and game very shortly.
I think it's from the editor type when you post the message. Next time you are using the brother's laptop, click on the editor button in the upper right corner, it looks like two letter "A"s. One editor mode makes the tables screwed up and the other doesn't... at least I think that's what it is
Note: Posting the Minnesota game today. Hopefully get another done by tonight as well. I've been super busy as of late and it will be good to get this thing going again.
Offense Struggles in Second Straight Loss Chicago gains only 182 yards on offense in 13-10 loss
By: BryanJayyy
Chicago, IL - The Chicago Bears (6-3) have dropped their second straight game this week to their divisional rivals, the Minnesota Vikings (4-5). This also marks the Bears' second straight divisional loss; Chicago's last divisional loss came in week 3 when the Green Bay Packers (8-1) edged out the Bears at home, 34-31. Chicago's offense has been out of sync the past few weeks and their troubles continued today as QB Jay Cutler completed only 13 of 29 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown. Despite no turnovers, the offense just seemed out of gas the entire game.
"This is all a learning process," stated Cutler. "We are still trying to figure out what does and does not work when trying to move the ball down the field. Coach Martz has a unique offensive playbook and we are trying our best to get it down and be successful on game day. 6-3 is still good in my books, so we have to just turn it around and focus now on Miami."
A stalemate throughout the first quarter, Minnesota began to click in the second scoring 10 points in four minutes. Vikings' WR Sidney Rice had a nice game catching three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown, which came in that second quarter and was the only touchdown the Vikings scored all game. Chicago's defense seemed to keep the Vikings in check, stopping the NFL's leading rusher, Minnesota's HB Adrian Peterson, from a break out game. Peterson was held to 79 rushing yards on 21 attempts.
"We were proud of our defense today," stated head coach Lovie Smith. "They did a great job of containing the run and keeping the passing game in check, for the most part. Our offense had trouble getting started, but we did have a few drives that looked good. Losing is never fun, but when you lose at home to a divisional rival, that's worse. I guess it's back to the drawing board and time to shift our focus to Miami."
Late in the third quarter, Chicago Bears' WR Devin Hester left the game with sore ribs. After team doctors saw Hester, they determined he sustained two broken ribs after being hit by Minnesota Vikings' CB, Lito Sheppard. After the NFL's enforcement of strict "big hit" plays, Sheppard's hit is currently under review and a fine/suspension is sure to follow. Hester is expected to be out 1-2 weeks.
The Chicago Bears are now 6-3 on the season with a 1-2 record in the NFC North. This offense needs to turn itself around if they want to continue to win football games. Running the ball has been a problem for Chicago all season long, so if they can start to effectively push the ball forward on the ground, this offense may be able to open up and begin to stretch the field. Next up for the Bears are the 2-7 Miami Dolphins.
