Yeah it should be. I'm going to play it in a couple minuets, but it should be good. It would be really nice to go 3-1. I hope my line holds up with Gandy now playing. My receivers need to step up too without Knox in the line up. Should be good though.

Bears' Defense Dominates Yet Struggles at the Same Time
Bears give up 411 yards, but pull out a 36-26 victory
By: BryanJayyy

East Rutherford, NJ - Sunday night's football game between the Chicago Bears (3-1) and the New York Giants (1-3) was bizarre to say the least. The Bears' defense gave up a total of 411 yards, with 367 of them coming from Giants' QB Eli Manning. Despite this lapse in defense, the Bears edged out the Giants, 36-26. After a stellar first half by Chicago's D, New York fought back but could not finish and moved to 1-3 on the season.

DE Julius Peppers began his exceptional day on Sunday with a tackle of Giants' HB Brandon Jacobs in New York's endzone for a safety to put the Bears up with an early two point lead. On the Giants' next drive, CB Tim Jennings intercepted Manning's third pass attempt of the drive for a 29 yard touchdown to put the Bears up 9-0 late in the first. The defense continued to roll throughout the first half, but no one had as big a game as Peppers. He finished the game with eight tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble and recovery and the mentioned safety.

"Julius [Peppers] was a man on a mission today," said Coach Lovie Smith. "It's always good to have a guy step up like he did. When he first came to the team, we knew we had a play-maker, but his performance today was unreal."

After halftime, the Bears' defense fell apart. QB Eli Manning erupted for three second half touchdowns and over 250 yards. The Giants recovered from a 16 point deficit in under one minuet, scoring two touchdowns and two two-point conversions. One of the touchdowns to tie the game was a 76 yard touchdown reception from Manning to WR Steve Smith. The Bears' answered with a 59 yard touchdown catch by WR Juaquin Iglesias from QB Jay Cutler to take a 26-19 lead heading into the final quarter. Manning could only manage one more touchdown, they were unable to completely erase the deficit the Bears made in the first half.

Both team's quarterbacks had similar days, but Manning made the mistake on the Jennings touchdown interception and it may of cost the Giants the game. Cutler finished the day completing 16 of 25 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns, while Manning finished completing 20 of 34 passes for 367 yards, three interceptions and one interception. Cutler has continued to be a strong leader for the Bears and certainly improved upon last weeks two interception performance.

"It's good to see Jay [Cutler] perform at the level he has been," said offensive coordinator Mike Martz. "We've asked him to step up and he has done the job. We are 3-1 with a close loss to the Packers, so we're happy with his performance."

The Bears' head to Carolina to play the 1-3 Panthers next week. Cutler must continue his steady play if they want a chance of keeping their streak of close games alive. The Bears are currently undefeated on the road and 4-1 start looks really nice.

2010 NFL Week 4 Wrap Up
By: BryanJayyy

The fourth week of the 2010 season is now in the books and one team remains undefeated. There were many good performances this week, as well as a few let downs. The standings are beginning to take shape and every team desires to come out on top week and and week out, but that's not the case for everyone. Here is the week four wrap up.

Jaguars Sign Marc Bulger to 1 Year Deal
The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2) are not satisfied with the quarterback play so far this year and they took matters into their own hands in signing veteran QB Marc Bulger to a one year deal worth $850,000. Fed up with QB David Gerrard and Luke McCown, who have combind to throw 841 yards this through four weeks for seven touchdowns and three touchdowns, the Jag's are looking to get Bulger into the mix right away. Playing nine seasons with the St. Louis Rams, Bulger has a career average of 235.9 yards per game and has thrown for 122 touchdowns and 93 interceptions. Bulger should make an immediate impact in Jacksonville.

Ricky Williams Wants Out of Miami
Dolphins' HB Ricky Williams wants out of Miami and the organization is listening as they have put him on the trading block. Williams has a rough past with drugs, but after a two year break and returning to the NFL in 2007, he has seemed to settle down. This season with the Fins', Williams has rushed for 195 yards on 37 carries and has scored twice. Playing behind HB Ronnie Brown is what upsets Williams as he sees himself as a starter that can impact a team. No one can be sure as to where Ricky would fit and help out immediately, but he is looking and hoping to find a team better suited for him.

Week 4 Scores
New York (AFC) 24, Buffalo 17
Seattle 23, St. Louis 20
New Orleans 38, Carolina 31
Green Bay 38, Detroit 35
Cincinnati 14, Cleveland 12
Pittsburgh 34, Baltimore 9
Denver 20, Tennessee 13
Atlanta 27, San Francisco 10
Indianapolis 27, Jacksonville 22
Oakland 16, Houston 10 (OT)
Philadelphia 33, Washington 26
San Diego 22, Arizona 6
Chicago 36, New York (NFC) 26
New England 31, Miami 14

Games of the Week
Houston Texans (2-2) @ Oakland Raiders (2-2)
The Oakland Raiders staged the perfect comeback Sunday at home against the Houston Texans in a 16-10 overtime win. Houston scored the first ten points of the game and heading into the fourth quarter were up 10-3. Thanks to a four yard touchdown pass from Raiders QB Jason Campbell, Oakland quickly tied the game up and sent the game into overtime. Raiders HB Michael Bush wanted overtime to be over quickly, so on Oakland's first drive in extra time, he busted a 67 yard touchdown run to win 16-10. The Texans play host to the 1-3 New York Giants next week.

Detroit Lions (0-4) @ Green Bay Packers (3-1)
High scoring offense seems to be the theme in the NFC North this year, and these two division rivals kept the trend going as the Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions, 38-35. Packers HB Ryan Grant scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take the lead over the lowly Lions and never looked back. Grant finished the game with 182 yards on 14 attempts for two touchdowns. Detroit made it close with a 34 yard touchdown pass from QB Matthew Stafford, but came up shy at the end. Stafford completed 27 of 38 passes on the day for 328 yards and five touchdowns. The Lions host the St. Louis Rams (1-3) next week in hopes of finally grabbing a win.

Indianapolis Colts (3-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2)
The Jacksonville Jaguars rallied for 13 points in the third quarter, but a 5 yard touchdown reception by Indianapolis Colts' WR Reggie Wayne hammered the nail in the Jags' coffin. Jacksonville scored only one touchdown throughout the game, a Maurice Jones-Drew 46 yard run, and five field goals. The Jaguars inability to finish scoring drives that end in 6 points was the main problem. They would march down the field, but crumble when they entered the red zone. Colts' QB Peyton Manning had a shaky day as well complelting 26 of 42 passes for 300 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. The Colts host the 2-1 Kansas City Chiefs next week as they play to stay atop the AFC South.

Re: BryanJayyy's Chicago Bears Franchise

2010 Week 5 Preview: Chicago @ Carolina
By: BryanJayyy

Charlotte, NC - The Chicago Bears (3-1) will close out their mini road trip in North Carolina when they face the Carolina Panters (1-3) at Bank of America Stadium this Sunday. The Bears are coming off a shaky win over the Giants, but look to regain their composure and put up more respectable numbers. QB Jay Cutler must continue his stellar play and we could see a 4-1 Bears' record.

As individuals, some members of the Chicago Bears' defense have put up amazing numbers. As a whole, however, they have been struggling. Heading into Sunday's game, the Bears' defense is ranked second to last is pass yards allowed with 1,006 yards in four games, an average of 251 yards a game. The secondary must not let receivers get the best of them and get open down field for big gains. The Bears' red zone defense has been tight throughout the first four games, but it's allowing the opposing team to drive down the field that burns them.

"We've been giving them too many chances," said LB Brian Urlacher. "We have to make sure we make the plays that will prevent these teams from scoring. Thankfully Jay [Cutler] has been stepping up for us because we have been giving up a bunch of points and we can't allow that. This week will be a good test for us because Carolina's offensive attack isn't the greatest and we should be able to shut these guys down."

The Panthers and Bears have meet twice since 2006 and Carolina has come out on top both times including a win in 2006 to knock the Bears out of the playoffs thanks to a career day by Panthers WR Steve Smith. Four years later and Smith is still on the team and brings his all every Sunday. This season, Smith has 27 receptions for 319 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears' secondary must do a good job of containing Smith if they want a chance at winning this game. Young quarterback experience on Carolina's team helps the Bears' chances, but they must have a strong game unlike last weeks display in New York.

Chicago has barely been escaping their first four games with wins and the defense must start acting like the team they should be, tough. A 3-1 start to the season is impressive, but there is still plenty of time for things to change and if the Bears don't start locking it down on defense, we could see this nice start vanish before you know it.

Player to Watch
QB Jay Cutler

Cutler has continued to be the backbone of this team. Three touchdowns in his last outing, Jay has continually surprised this team with stellar play. Carolina's secondary does not know what it has coming to the and Cutler will be sure to make plays that will cause the Panthers' heads to spin.

Prediction
Behind Cutler, Bears' move to 4-1 with a 24-14 win over Carolina.

Bears' Defense Shines in Win
Carolina held to 81 yards in 26-8 loss
By: BryanJayyy

Charlotte, NC - The Chicago Bears' (4-1) defense came alive Sunday in a 26-8 win over the Carolina Panthers (1-4). Chicago held the Panthers to 81 total yards of offense, 40 pass yards and 41 rush yards. They also gave up no points as the only touchdown scored by the Panthers came off of QB Jay Cutler's first interception of the game, which was returned by Carolina DE Tyler Brayton. The defense made sure last week's results would never happen again and they delivered on their promise on Sunday.

Jay Cutler and the Bears' offense came out swinging in this match-up on Sunday, scoring on their first drive of the game on a seven yard touchdown pass from Cutler to WR Devin Hester, his fifth on the season. Cutler also connected with TE Greg Olsen on a 15 yard pass to take a 14-0 lead heading into half time. Both the Bears' offense and defense looked unstoppable in the first half scoring the two touchdowns and giving up 24 yards respectively. These results were exactly what head coach Lovie Smith expected of his team going into Sunday's game.

"We played a heck of a first half," stated Smith. "Coming out of the gates, we took control early and established our game. It goes to show you what these guys are capable of and it's good to know that we can play at this level. Hats need to go out to Matt [Forte]. He had a great day. We set up our run game early and it really blossomed into a nice performance." Forte finished the day with 130 yards on 31 carries for one touchdown.

Chicago's offense fell apart in the second half, turning the ball over four times. Aside from the one interception return, the Bears' defense were able to keep the damage minimal. Also, for the second straight game, the Bears' defense scored a safety on the Panthers' second drive of the third quarter, via Pisa Tinoisamoa.

Much credit must be given to P Brad Maynard. On a day with 19 miles per hour winds, Maynard was able to pin the Panthers in their own ten yard line four times, with three being inside the five yard line. His punts made Carolina's average starting drive spot the 11.3 yard line. "You can't take these guys for granted," said Smith. "We owe a huge part of the win to Brad [Maynard] today. If we couldn't get it going on an offensive drive, he was able to make sure Carolina couldn't either. It was good to see all aspect of our game doing well today."

The Bears are finally beginning to click as a whole and they hope to keep this win streak alive as they head home to play the 2-2 Seattle Seahawks. WR Johnny Knox should return to the lineup next week which will provide Cutler with another target. The Bears' are still tied for first with the Green Bay Packers, so every game counts right now so to not lose the top spot in the NFC North.
