Are you going to be running the Air Raid offense? And, Dasher is really good too.
I am running the Auburn offense right now, with a little bit more emphasis on the power running game. I don't have the athletes on the edges to run the air raid. Dasher is such a good runner that I love the read option and power I-form game with Kyles right now. It showed in my latest game against the FCS opponent. I really dominated the running game with 2 100 yard rushers. Thanks for following.

Recruiting Insider w/ Allen Wallace

Let's take a closer look at a few of the top recruits in the nation. First we have:

Kesley Charles - QB - 6'6" 225 - Miami, FL (Top 5 - *Florida, *Alabama, LSU, Penn State, *Texas)

This guy is everything that you would want in a QB. The Nation's #1 QB, #2 Overall can run (Speed=B) and throw (THP=A-, THA=B+). He might have the strongest arm in the nation and great accuracy as well. The knock on Charles is his ability to read defenses and find open receivers (Awareness=D-). Sometimes he struggles and makes terrible decisions with his big arm. He is also fairly injury prone coming off of a torn ACL during his sophomore season (Injury=D).

Forecast - I think that Charles is favoring Florida right now, but look out for LSU. They have yet to offer and he is visiting them the week after he visits Florida. If they offer, they could jump up his list.

Eric Albers - QB - 6'2" 190 - Harrisburg, PA - (Commit - Ohio State)

Albers is going to be a good one for the Buckeyes. Terrelle Pryor may be heading to the NFL after this season and Albers could be his successor. Albers is similar runner to Pryor (Speed=B+, Elusiveness=B+) but is a much more accurate passer (THA=A-). The only downside to Albers is his arm strength (THP=C). He cannot make the deep out throw very well and struggles with the deep ball, as he underthrows his receivers often.

Forecast - Committed to Ohio State (Other offers = LSU, Florida, Michigan)

Aaron Wheeler - WR - 6'3" 190 - Detroit, MI - (Top 5 - *Michigan, *Ohio State, *Penn State, *Alabama, *Notre Dame)

Wheeler is the #1 WR in the nation right now and there is a reason why. He has decent speed (Speed=B), but probably has the best hands in the country(Catching=B+, Spectacular Catch=B+). The downside to Wheeler is his route running. He needs to get coached up in that department. There are times when he makes the QB look bad by being out of position (Route Running=C-). He does a very good elusiveness (B+) when he gets the ball in his hands and can make something out of nothing.

Forecast - This looks like it is going to be a battle between Michigan and Ohio State. He will visit Michigan in Week 6 and Ohio State in Week 13 when Michigan visits. Is this to see his favorite Michigan twice?

Deuce Scott - RB - 6'2" 220 - Spokane, WA - (Commit - Florida)

When I see Deuce run the ball it reminds me of former Stanford running back Toby Gerhart. He has great power (Break Tackles=B, Trucking=B+, Strength=B-) and decent speed (B). The knock on Scott is that he doesn't have great vision (BCV=D) and is a north south type back with very little wiggle (Juke=C-). However if he turns out anything like Gerhart, he will be special for the Gators.

Forecast - Committed to Florida (Other offers= none)

Jay Randolph - QB - 6'3" 225 - Shreveport, LA - (Top 5 - *LSU, *Ohio State, *Oklahoma, Texas, Florida)

Finally we have Randolph. He is overshadowed by both Charles and Albers, but still has great ability. He is the fastest QB in this class with 4.38 40-yard dash (Speed=A-). He has a similar arm to Albers (THP=C+, THA=A-). He can't make every throw due to his weaker arm, but his slants and everthing else are spectacular. Needs to improve his awareness (D+) and read defenses better. If he gets in an option type offense, he could be something special. I'm not sure why someone like West Virginia or Oregon isn't recruiting him more.

Forecast - Has offers from LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. Not sure what Ohio State's status is with Randolph with the commitment of Albers, but LSU is in the lead right now. Seems like he is the Tigers to lose at this point, unless Ohio State wants to take 2 QB's in this class.

vs.
Memphis(0-2) vs. Middle Tennessee State (2-0)
Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium
Memphis, TN
Week 3 - 10-11'

Game Recap

The Blue Raiders left the friendly confines of Murfreesboro and traveled to in-state rival Memphis. MTSU looked rusty coming out of the gate. Memphis scored a FG on their first possession and added a TD on their second grabbing a quick 10-0 lead.
There was no way the Blue Raiders were going to be shut out by the Tigers. Dwight Dasher led the Blue Raiders down the field and scored on a TD on a 2 yard run to cut the lead to 10-7. However, Memphis would respond with a long FG drive to extend its lead to 13-7. With just 52 seconds left, Dasher was determined to cut into the lead. Coach Dayne let Dasher and the offense rip with under minute left and 3 timeouts. Dasher led MTSU down the field and hit McDonald on an out-route for a 28 yard TD to grab a 14-13 lead at the break.
In the 2nd half it was all Memphis early on.
"We really came out slow in the 2nd half. Dasher through a pick and we lost Kyles to injury, which really slowed down our offense. I thought that we became really one dimensional with Kyles out of the game and that frustrated me. We can't rely on one player that much."
Memphis scored a quick TD on a 35 yard pass. They went for the 2 point conversion to make their lead an even 7 points, but failed, which made the score an awkward 19-14. It didn't stay that way for long. Dasher was picked off for the 2nd time by a leaping Memphis defender at the line of scrimmage and Memphis was in the MTSU redzone. Memphis scored on the next play on an 11 yard pass from Williams to McKenzie to make the lead. 26-14.
The next MTSU possession Dasher looked like a different QB. He was focused and led the Blue Raiders down the field quickly and efficiently. He would score a TD on a 6 yard run which cut the lead to 26-21.
MTSU would get the ball back after the teams traded punts early in the 4th quarter and they capitalized. Dasher hit Mason on a smash route toward the right pylon and grabbed a 28-26 lead.
The MTSU defense let the offense down once again, with Memphis driving straight down the field for a 35 yard FG and the 29-28 lead. Memphis picked off Dasher for a 3rd time and scored on an 8 yard TD run to increase its lead to 36-28.
With just 2:28 left, Dasher got the ball and again looked focused after an INT. For the 3rd time in the game, MTSU scored a TD on their next possession after a Dasher INT. Dahser hit Turner in the flat and he quickly scampered into the endzone for a TD and a chance to tie the game at 36-36. However, Dasher was sacked on the 2-pt conversion attempt and trailed 36-34.
On the ensuing onside kick attempt Memphis recovered. With 3 time outs remaining MTSU's defense finally came up with a stop and forced the FG attempt from 52 yards out for the Tigers. They missed and MTSU got the ball left with 54 seconds left and no timeouts.
Dasher hit his TE Bamber down the seam for a huge gain out to the Memphis 48, then scrambled up the middle for 12 yards and spiked the ball with just 22 seconds left. At the edge of field goal range, Dasher hit 2 more passes on the side line to get the ball to the 2 yard line where he would spike it again and MTSU hit the game winning 19 yard FG to snatch a 37-36 win away from Memphis.

Re: The Career of Ron Dayne (NCAA 11)

vs.
Louisiana-Lafayette (0-2) vs. Middle Tennessee State (3-0)
Cajun Field
Lafayette, LA
Week 4 - 10-11'

Game Recap

MTSU traveled to Lafayette, LA to start Sun Belt Conference play against the Ragin Cajuns. For the 2nd straight game the Blue Raiders came out of the gate slow on offense. It took the entire 1st quarter for the Blue Raiders to score. They broke the scoreless tie with a 25 yard FG to take a 3-0 lead late in the 1st quarter.
Louisiana-Lafayette came back on their next possession to take a 7-3 lead on a 1 yard TD run by Masson. MTSU would respond, but only with a FG after a lengthy drive. The lead was cut to 7-6 after the 31 yard FG by Gendreau.
On the next Lafayette possession the defense forced a fumble on the option. OLB Darlin Davis picked up the ball and ran it back 27 yards to the house. MTSU grabbed a 13-7 lead going into the break.
In the 2nd half, MTSU again started off slow and it looked as though Lafayette was going to seize control of the game. The Lafayette defense was shutting down the MTSU offense and really frustrated Dwight Dasher. Lafayette capitalized on a late 3rd quarter Dasher INT by breaking a 41 yard TD run and grabbing the lead 14-13.
Lafayette wasn't done there capitalizing on Dasher turnovers. On the next possession, Dasher threw another INT and Lafayette was in business deep in MTSU territory. Lafayette cashed in once again, this time on a 12 yard TD pass and they had a 21-13 lead.
Dasher, who has overcome adversity many times already this season, lead the Blue Raiders down the field on the next drive to tie the game on a 3 yard run by 4th string running back Benjamin Cunningham. DD Kyles was knocked out of the game early in the 3rd quarter and Cunningham and Tanner filled in nicely. The 2 point conversion was good and the game was tied 21-21.
Lafayette was looked to grab the lead on the next possession when tragedy struck the Ragin Cajuns. The Lafayette QB ran an option to the left and broke to the outside when he was confronted by FS Derrick Crumpton. Crumpton forced the pitch and then picked the ball off in mid air and ran it back for the TD and a 28-21 lead. The MTSU defense shut down Lafayette on the next possession and the Blue Raiders were able to run out the clock.
"I thought our defense did a great job this week. We were facing an up-tempo style of offense that ran both the spread passion and option attack. They were able to come up with 2 huge TDs on defense. Both of the TDs came on their option, which was huge for our confidence. If they hadn't had that first fumble on the option, I think our guys would have gotten a little down. Our offense struggled to hold onto the ball once again, but this time our defense was able to force turnovers of their own. Our defense won the ball game for us. Once again Kyles went down with an injury. He needs to get healthy for our offense to click correctly, but I thought Cunningham and Tanner filled in nicely. Dasher needs to solve his INT problems. He has had 6 in the past 2 weeks and really can't do that for us to be successful. Good first conference win this week."
