We sit down with Houston Nutt to discuss the upcoming game.

NH:So Coach Nutt this is a quick 2 parter; 1) How did you like the 80-7 win over FCS SE, and 2) What will you do to look ahead to Tulane.

HN:Of all the things to name this show.... Anyway, the boys looked fantastic last week. Jeremiah threw for 5 tds and ran for another, the D looked stellar. Bottom line is we gotta be firing on all cylinders every game when it comes to meeting with the SEC Elite. As for part 2 Tulane is a very underrated team. We cant take them lightly... you saw what happened to Michigan vs. Appalachian State a few years back right?


NH:Well said Coach. So with recruiting in full swing, what are the Rebels looking for this year.

HN:We need Defence thats a 100% no brainer. We have some big names graduating this year and we need solid recruits to bring in here and mature and teach them the right way to play football ... the Rebel way.


NH:Finally Coach, you were picked to finish dead last in the SEC West. What do you have to say to your critics.

HN:Well I want my boys to show the experts just how wrong they can be... its the SEC, anything can and usually does happen.

Did you purposely leave Arkansas out of your SEC West predictions?

Ole Miss went to New Orleans to tangle with Tulane. The Green Wave (1-1) kept it close until the very end, only to see Jeremiah Masoli and company pull away late for the 9 point victory. Next for the Rebels (2-0) is a trip home to face Vandy in their first SEC matchup of the season.

Well Houston Nutt has found zero success since leaving BSU, but I am glad he did. I was really looking foward to the 2011 Season Opener against the Reb's but it looks like it's getting pushed back to 2014 now with BSU taking on Georgia instead.


So like the other poster, I am not a big fan of Nutt, but looking foward to seeing what you can do in the SEC.

Ole Miss Earns UGLY Win

The weather? Perfect.
The Defence? Perfect.
The Offense? OFFENSIVE.

Maybe its SEC jitters, but even though the Rebels (3-0) shut out the Commodores 14-0 (1-2), to say that it was anything but a debocle on offense is the under-statement of the season. The O-Line allowed a season high 5 sacks on Jeremiah Masoli. Also, if not for 1 home run pass and 1 pick 6, this game might still be going on. Next up for the Rebels is a little more home cooking as Freson State wanders into Mississippi.
