The GMAC BOWL CHAMPIONS! Lander University successfully and easily defeated the Kent State Golden Flash 58-24 to take home their first every bowl game victory. Lander HB, CJ Florsch won the hearts over as he became the GMAC Bowl player of the game after rushing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. Some fun history for you as well...Lander WR will forever go down as being the first Lander player to score a TD in a bowl game after he caught a 56yd pass from Johnson. Young would go on to take secondary player of the game honors as well for having a total of 5 catches and two touchdown catches as well.

2011 Is Upon Us!!!
After a successful first year, Lander University will have their hands full in 2011. Starting the season ranked 32nd, they have an A- schedule that sees them potentially playing 4 if not more games against Top 25 teams. Lander also is going to test the waters against the strongest conference in NCAA football as they have 3 games against SEC teams. The Lander AD also mandated that Coach Landyn Michaels win 9 games this year after they won 12 last year.

Bearcats Falter at Home!!!
Lander University fans are still feeling the pains of a 46-37 loss in Greenwood to the Georgia Bulldogs. Lander QB Ryan Johnson had a career worse in throwing 4 interceptions. "The pressure kept getting to me and I had to let the ball go at an unoportune time and the Georgia defenders just happened to be in the right spots," said Johnson about his play today. Johnson will get a chance to redeem himself when the Bearcats travel to Vanderbilt next week.
